Read what parents are saying about East Point Elementary SchoolHORRIBLE STAFF. ESPECIALLY THAT BIG LADY IN REGISTRATION. SHE IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.
Posted by a parent on 8/18/2023Overall, horrible customer service, dishonest, incompetent, and disrespectful from this school registration lady Roxanne Martinez, I was part of the orientation they conducted back on Thursday, July 27, 2023 I filled out all the guardian information for my children to find out barely now Wednesday Aug 16, 2023 that this lady refused to add me into the system after legal documentation was given to her. I had to reach out to the YISD department to report this type of conduct. Parents, I do not recommend this school. The principal was also aware of this, and still no resolution.Jessica Nieto
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2023My son attended this school and he did not learn anything the whole year he attended pre-K. His teacher never gave my son positive reinforcement and only focused on negative behavior, which only influences more negative behavior. In addition, I mentioned to the teacher early in the school year that my son has speech problems and that it seems as though he has some learning diablities. However, speech therapy wasn't addressed til March and the learning disability was never addressed at all. Plus he became very scared to enter the classroom about half way into the school year and went from liking school in the beginning to terrified of school after a teacher aid switch. Also, after trying to address these issues to the principal, an appointment was made and then cancelled with a reason that principal had another meeting to attend at central office. My husband and I decided it would be best to just withdraw him and place him in a private school to see if we could catch him up and get him ready in time for kinder. We went to the school at the time we were suppose to have the meeting to find that the principal was there and never had the meeting at central office. Plus while withdrawing him principal signed the paperwork but never came out to talk to us about the these issues. I don't recommend this school to anyone.
Posted by a parent on 5/12/2016I'm so sad that we are being stationed somewhere else, for next year schooling :( My daughter has had so much fun and is doing so great! She went from struggling with c average, before being stationed here. But now shes an A/B honor roll and has been for the past two years being here! The teachers are fantastic and the staff <3 She enjoyed this school so much and had the most fun out of all the schools shes been to (shes been to quite a few) (military family). Bye Bye East Point :( GO SPARTANS!! WOOT WOOT! :)

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing! From the moment you walk in the front door & are treated with respect & a genuine desire to help, to walking out the back door at the end of the day.Administration is amazing & the teachers truly care! I love the new safety upgrades they have made & the fact that they enforce them ALL the time.Parent volunteers are amazing, the special things they do for the community is wonderful. The school is always looking for more volunteers!Any student struggling is offered many opportunities to succeed. If they simply are not understanding with one teacher, there is an entire secondary team willing to step in. They offer after school tutoring, Saturday school as well as teachers are willing to come in early &/or give up their lunch period to help a student. There is a ZERO tolerance for Bullying! Students are encouraged to reach out to the counselor for any reason.Parent Review10mo ago - Scotsdale Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is horrible administration is seriously lacking many times I've had to call to talk with either the principal or assistant principal and I'm left on hold for an hour only to be told after being on hold they're now at lunch also have witnessed while waiting to pick up my child early administration instead of working gossiping and discussing adult subject matter about their staff and janitorial staff all infront of kids waiting to be picked up unprofessionalParent Review2y ago - Vista Hills Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSwitching from a charter school to this school has been the greatest change for my kids. We are so happy we made the change for so many reasons. The class sizes are small and the children get more one on one help from their teachers. The teachers are amazing. My daughter, who was struggling in certain subjects at the other school, now has much more confidence in herself and schoolwork. The last school used only electronic assignments. The students at this school have paper assignments which, I believe, is better. Students have time to work on homework at school, so when our kids get home they actually have time to just be kids. The school uses the Abeka curriculum, which is a great program. We love this school and all of the staff there. They truly love their jobs and it shows in our children.Parent Review5y ago - Jardin De Ninos Montessori
