Read what parents are saying about Del Valle High SchoolDel Valle high is full of themselves, they are the worst school in history, I am glad that I left, they let people do harm to me, they let certain people get away with it, I do not suggest of going to del Valle high.
Posted by a student on 5/4/2022Academics are 4/5 they have a lot of great teachers and new programs for the kids. The band and orchestra however are 1/5, the teachers aren't great. Dance, art, and theater are 4/5.
Posted by a student on 5/14/2019Del Valle High School is a great school. The closed campus idea is great for academic learning. The building is in great shape for a campus that has been around for over 20 years. The teachers actually care and work with students, the types of classes offered are varied and do prepare students for college. I interviewed several school principles before choosing to put my daughter in this school and I am glad I did. If you are moving to this area I HIGHLY recommend this school.

When the new 2011-2012 Ysleta Independent School District school year begins. The curriculum is lacking, we had the same professors (sometimes even 3 times per day) for the completely different subjects and they obviously had no idea what they were teaching. Worst of all is the preference to certain students, if you are not in that "in" list you would get help for anything (I got not help at all when applying to college, I had to do everything on my own even send my grades), they would let their favorite students get away with everything.
