Read what parents are saying about Beall Elementary SchoolHad a bad experience with these school. Principal is very friendly and caring, but the administration people seem cold and unfriendly. My child had a learning disability and the teacher did not like to work with him one on one, instead she just wanted someone else to deal with the problem. The school appearance is fine but I don't like the neighborhood.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've taught at several elementary schools in this particular district, my children have attended another, so I have a lot to compare. Douglass is by far the best of all the elementary schools which I can legitimately address. The teachers are deeply concerned about their students' educational progress. Non-homeroom faculty are also greatly vested in our students, working hand in hand with the classroom teachers. The staff are caring and open, very welcoming of all who come to visit. The administration (principal and assistant principal, Mr. Barraza and Ms. Dwyer, respectively) are top notch. They too are every bit as committed to the students as are the faculty and staff, all the while not losing sight of all employees. They run the school superbly, directing first with their heads--having the interests of the students at the forefront, but also with their hearts, from the longest employed person to the student who just enrolled two minutes ago. There are many activities at Douglass, from archery to chess to rocket science (literally!). Douglass has also earned the national distinction of being a Blue Ribbon School. Go Dragons!Teacher Review9y ago - Lamar Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was bad and it went to worse the teachers there not all but most are very disrespectful. The principal never addressed a problem. There is no communication between parents and teachers. The lady’s working at the front office aren’t helpful at all. They give very bad customer service to the parents they give you attitude when you have a problem with a teacher. Since that principal got there is being getting from bad to worse.Parent Review3y ago - Zavala Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school. Amazing teachers. My son had Mrs. Hernandez and Mrs. Sanchez and they helped my son to the fullest and lots of dedication. When my son started school here he did not know English very well. He had a hard time reading and writing.he was below his average grade. And after his first yr he had improved about a 86% in all subjects. This yr I can say he is doing 100% wonderful that even his reading level is now above his grade level.Parent Review8y ago - Father Yermo High School
