G W Robinson Elementary School

We have only started attending K and 1st grade this year and so far the Kinder kid loves her school, the first grader was last year in Clear Lake City Elementary and says that it is better. Each day though when I pick them up from school they say they had a great day and just chatter to no end about all the things they did. I however really do not like the excessive discipline in elementary schools, no talking, if you forget to bring water from home seriously my kids cannot get to the fountain at lunch time - they have to wait until next break to have a drink. What is that? This is a school, give kids some leeway and responsibility!

If your child speaks English only, this is NOT the school for you. Spanish speaking kids get full advantage and learning preferences. Any child who throws chairs or exposes themselves in public gets disciplined by being put in the English only classes. There are 0 spelling tests, and the teacher turnover in the English speaking classes is insane. Some teachers do care alot and are great, but the administration limits English only speaking kids so much that it doesn't matter

Ed White is amazing! The teachers, principal, counselor, administrators, janitor, everyone at this school loves the children and loves their job! My daughter loves going to school each day and has learned so much academically as well as socially and how to respect herself and others. I have never seen such an amazing school. The principal knows the children's names, he is outside for pick up and drop off. The negative comments on here are not true! Also there are so many parent volunteers that it helps the school functions and allows the children to have fun activities. The sun always shines on Ed White Elementary.

So overall very great school. Their field trips are always chaotic and not well organized. I have ran into a few bad teachers that like to call the kids names which i addressed with the principal. but overall a pretty good school and my kids have never had any real problems

The school environment is bright, engaging, and filled with a variety of activities that stimulate creativity and learning. My son loves the hands-on learning experiences, from arts and crafts to outdoor play. I’ve seen him grow in confidence and social skills since starting here. We receive regular updates about my son's progress and daily activities, which makes me feel connected and involved. The team isalways open to feedback and suggestions, which shows their commitment to providing the best care possible. We love Miss Myla, Miss Paige, and Miss Alesha!

This school is phenomenal. The small family-like environment lends itself to meaningful learning. Teachers and staff genuinely care for student well being. The school has adopted a wonderful initiative working towards diversity and inclusion. The small class ratios and teacher flexibility are almost unheard of in any school setting, making it great for students who have various learning difficulties. One of my kids is neurodiverse and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. I'm proud to say my children attend St. Thomas.
