8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended Wilson now Nette Shultz graduating from it the year of the name change. He had dsylexia and is slightly on the Autistic Spectrum. It was a hard slog. In general his teachers were top notch, but as is the case ...a few bad apples. He did well in kindergarten and then got into first grade where his teacher a wisened old veteran who clearly retired on the job. He learned nothing that year and grew to loathe going to school. His second grade teacher, Mrs. Smith was one of the highlights of the school. She figured out he was dyslexic --- something his first grade teacher should have suspected. I had put him in sylvan and they tested and confirmed it. Once he was taught how to handle Dyslexia he did better in school, but he was about a year behind for several years due to the lost 1st grade year. I had a private tutor (a special ed teacher from another school) tutor him for an hour a week every summer for 5 years to catch him up with his class. Most of his other teachers at the school were solid, but he did have another dud teacher before he got out who made a point about Student responsiblity --- basically her way of covering not wanting to reach the standard of the other teachers. My son went on to Strickland Middle school and is now an A&B student in high school taking an honors course in science every year. Most of his success is due to the majority of teachers at now Nette Shultz who were soild, if not strong teachers. My two cents though are if you get a line of poop about teaching your kids personal responsibility at the start of the school year, try to get your kid into one of the other classes. That is a teacher that will let your kid sink and never communicate his struggles to you.Parent Review1y ago12 Reviews - Evers Park Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is by far the worst I have ever experienced. The teachers here lack the ability to handle any complicated situation. The way my child was treating was absolutely appalling and unacceptable. The ratio of student to teacher is high, and the answer to handling high energy children is to take away recess. My suggestion is to listen to your children and ask alit of questions. Bullying by other children is not monitored as well and they tend to gaslight.Parent Review3y ago10 Reviews - Community School

Would single out children and shame them in front of class. Multiple complaints. School is not able to handle bullying, several parents complained but no response.Other Review9y ago4 Reviews - Immaculate Conception Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a former student at ICCS and I was more than happy to escape this school. Their dress code is ridiculous and their uniforms are some of the ugliest I've ever seen. They are also very expensive. Fifty-five dollars for a used sweater is ridiculous. Their choir program is not good. The teachers also have favorites and so do the sports coaches. The same students are always chosen for sports team captains and lead roles in theatre class. Their school lunches are disgusting. Their pizza once made my friend sick. Students are assigned a very large amount of homework and teachers from other classes almost never check how much homework students have already been assigned. I was bullied at ICCS and the teachers took the bully's side and did almost nothing about the bullying. I would not recommend ICCS to anyone. I have been to many Catholic schools and this one is for sure the worst. I do not believe they are teaching as Jesus taught.Other Review3y ago8 Reviews - Hilltop Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy wife and I choose Immaculate Conception Catholic School after thorough consideration of other parochial and public schools. We researched the heck out of where to formally start our child's education. My child loves this school, classmates, teachers and staff and looks forward to being in class everyday. The teachers and staff care about my child as if he was one of their own. I know that sounds cliche but it's true. The small class size and interaction my child has with each teacher he encounters matters as he builds his educational foundation. He also receives Catholic formation to give him moral guidance for the future. And if my wife and I weren't Catholic I wouldn't mind one bit sending my child to this school because of how accepting the school is.Other Review9y ago3 Reviews
