very bad. worst school l have never seen in my whole life

We have had a great experience in the 2024-2025 school year. The new principal is outstanding, and the school communication is very good. There are several threads of communication in the app Remind at all times between the homeroom teacher, the school front desk coordinator, and the principal, who also sends a newsletter every week. My daughter has learned so much and is thriving here. All of the teachers, except the music and PE teachers (who have since been replaced for 2025-2026), have been great and are doing the best with what they have- which is typical from most public ISDs. This is a Montessori focused school, but they have to still adhere to the district curriculum and the Montessori method will not always take president. And not all the teachers are Montessori trained, if they only hired teachers who are there would be a sever staff shortage, more than there already is. But these are things that are not of fault of the school. After several setbacks on acquiring the property for the new location, they have closed the deal and finally broken ground. Time moves slow in commercial real estate and unfortunately this was no exception, and a lot of families left because of it. Yes, the school is in an office building, but it still looks and performs like a school and is similar to what you would find in downtown urban settings. This doesn't seem to affect my daughter's learning and the expectations of it not looking like a typical school are expectations from parents and not the kids who have nothing to compare it to. It's a different experience that I'm grateful she gets to have. Overall, this has been a great school year, much better than where she came from at Onesimo Hernandez, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a slightly unique, but overall great experience.
