Sadly, we had to move out of Texas and the one place we miss is this school. There really is no comparison and because it is so great you have to register your kids right away because classes fill up

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs parent of a 1st grader, our main concerns about this school is the over usage of iPad in the classroom. Daily activities are done on iPads, tests, breaks, etc. Many studies are showing the harm of such devices on the development of children, but Richardson ISD does not seem to pay attention.Discussing this concern with the teacher showed that this is pushed by Richardson ISD, and the teacher will oppose the parents in order to favor iPad time.School academics, while praised by a so called 10/10 rating, are very weak (maths are a joke, very low incentive to read and write, etc).The school is also very rigid - maybe rightfully so due to its massive size - to answer specific requests of level adjustment for better child development.This is not a good place for strong academics and healthy child development.Parent Review4mo ago - Prestonwood Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi former student here (left after 4 grade and also class of 2030 so I remember much) The school is nice and everyone is very kind, lunch was okay, but my problem with this school was that; by the time I was in 4 grade I still didn't know how to do long division(I learnt it in 5 grade at another district)and also the fact that I felt a bit left out from the other students since I'm not white(thankfully I knew better and still eat my tacos)Additionally, there are more fun activities the learning activities Which is actually bad and I prefer learning ( I value my education more) Also I feel like they only prioritize white kids since looking back at old photos.I'm conclusion, if you want your kid to be happy every day because of the activities they are always doing, and try to tell them want they learned today, but forgot because of activities then this school is for youOther Review8mo ago - Spring Creek Elementary School
