Read what parents are saying about Billy Earl Dade Middle SchoolHonestly this school is just terrible, the kids are fighting almost every day my child comes home and complains about students bullying her. SHUT THIS SCHOOL DOWN.

Posted by a parent on 3/22/2022Cynthia Rodriguez i would like to thank her for helping my twin boys they were both born breech and i have struggled at other schools with kids either picking on them and or teachers being unable to help them but this woman was able to run tests and help them get the attention they needed.
Posted by a parent on 2/13/2018Very disappointed in the whole school environment. The students behavior is absolutely horrible. It is sad they have a new school and do not know how to appreciate it. The staff is overwhelmed which is very evident. The students behavior only reflect their at home environment. So you would not expect much from the parents as well. My daughter absolutely hated this school. Which normally she enjoys school. She would come home each day and inform me of all the fights and other disruptive behavior going on at this school. Luckily, we were able to transfer her out recently. The school campus is new and could offer a lot of opportunities. However, that most likely won't happen due to the students attending really seem to not care about taking their education seriously.
Posted by a parent on 1/1/2014I am so disappointed at the way the children behave at this new and beautiful school. The children have a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to different creativity and new teachers. I have a 6th and 8th grader that attends this school and they're grades are terrible and their attitude is unacceptable and the only thing that they can relate to on an everyday basis is fighting and negativity. I have been to the school on several occassions and all I have seen is chaos....

Picking up children after school has improved somewhat. Some school policies have you shaking your head! I still have not received an answer as to why children cannot wear blue shirt with blue pants! And only red shirt on Monday's! I am just curious as to why!Parent Review5y ago - Paul L Dunbar Learning Center

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI use to love this school for my children before COVID became a thing, but now Charles Rice has fallen under the radar. The kids dont learn on the levels that they should. They are given homework assignments that are not taught in the classroom, and the teachers are all about "gossip and a paycheck" rather than helping the children academically! This will be the last year that my children attend this school, and this WILL NOT be a recommendation of mine.Parent Review1y ago - Oran M Roberts Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI want my children to attend a school with other black children where joy, love of learning, academic success, and social-emotional well-being are the norm. There is a myth that this kind of learning environment can only exist in majority white spaces, and that space dominated by children of color can only be dysfunctional. St. Philip’s disproves this myth on every front. My daughter is loved, cherished, and seen as the beautiful black child that she is, not is spite of it. Class sizes are small which results in children receiving a lot of individual attention. My daughter finished kindergarten reading at an advanced first grade level. She was also able to participate in a host of activities because St. Philip’s offers more enrichment and athletic opportunities than one child can possibly take advantage of. No school is perfect, but where it counts the most, St. Philip’s hits the mark. Your child’s mind, spirit, and heart will be in great hands at St. Philip’s.Parent Review3y ago
