Daingerfield High School

0 stars, worst school in East Texas. Teachers gave up teaching awhile ago and could care less about the students. It is a freaking zoo and the keepers are the ones drugged.

I'm a junior at DHS. I'm a cheerleader, member of the band and drama club, and student council as well as National Honor Society. So, you could say that I participate in just about everything. Honestly, Daingerfield is a good school and they're very dedicated to their sports program. It's the kids that are starting to get lazy and not care. The children only care about going out and partying and getting high. The grades are slipping terribly. And it's not because the teachers aren't teaching well, it's because of the students lack the motivation to do good in school. The students here have great potential, they just need that push to see that they can be better and get a better reputation for our school.

DHS has a great atheletics program but thats all people focus on. I am a senior in band of this school and I can honestly say that if it wasn't for our principle the arts would be lost. Our community never cheer our band on nor care about any other art programs. Also If we had more teachers that wouldn't take so much bad behavior from our many unruly students this place would be a lot better.

I think that the teachers are trying but they should find more creative ways to teach the kids. Try to relate to something in their lives, and work on that. Most of the students are busy or worried about something in their own lives rather than school. My son is a very smart kid but unless you challenge him with something that he is interested in you would not really see it. It has to be fun or interesting to him in order for him to really get in to it.
