Posted by a parent on 10/6/2023This is a horrible school. Some of the teachers could care less about helping the students. Had a third grade teacher here tell me that “Well some kids have it and some kids don’t.” Pretty much implying to me that my kid doesn’t have “it” so why try. My son has gotten bullied with no consequences for the bullies. The principal could care less about what’s going on. As long as her and the teachers look like they are doing a good job. They are not! So many other schools in the area with better ratings than this one. My kids are finally out but I wish I could’ve taken them out of this school sooner.
Posted by a parent on 7/8/2021My kids have bad experiences at this school, we also have bad experience at this school due to discrimination. I hope Ms. Bell will educate the staff at this school to work and have friendly attitudes like Hairgrove Elementary.
Posted by a parent on 5/17/2019My kids did amazing in 4th grade. Ms. Usimaki and Ms Shollar are great teachers. One of my kids needed some extra help in Writing and Reading and the teacher offered tutoring in the morning and fridays after school to help students. I recommend the school. Great new principal since last year.

They do not listen to students or try to understand why they are upset. This place is also a breeding ground for bullying, as victims are ignored and bullies are enabled, even when the bullying is happening right in front of adults. From the upper administrative staff down to teachers is less to be desired to be working in an educational environment and there's a pattern of unfairly singling out students and access unfair punishment. Teachers are there only for a check and to welcome Fridays no real interest in the students or their learning. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an amazing school for 3 of my kids. I've seen them all develop and learn and thrive. If you read some of these one star reviews they are incredibly unfair and disingenuous picking on one or two situations. One has to wonder how these people are even functioning in society at all. The level of engagement at Rennell with teachers and the parents is astonishing and welcome. Each year I have to sign up on the same day the "Watchdad" volunteer list comes out or I will not be able to get a spot. My understanding is that Teachers want to teach here and will often leave surrounding schools in order to to upgrade. The principle is amazing and really sets an inclusive culture.
