I only put neutral because I have no experience with the special education program of Taylor elementary and I don’t want to diminish anyone else’s experience. But I want to let parents know that my daughter is thriving here. Mrs P, and her paras are a gem. My anxiety has pretty much all but left. My daughter is in prek, communication is amazing. She’s picking up emotional regulation skills from her teachers as well. As a parent who was dreading school, she’s loving it! So I’m loving it!

This school has been an absolutely wonderful place for both of our children. The Special Education Program here is top notch. The teachers really show care and admiration for the students and act as advocates for their learning. We still have one child going to school here and I honestly miss having both of them at Hajek. We have had experiences very different at another school in a different district, and moving to the Mistletoe Hill neighborhood was life changing (in a great way) for our children. Can't say enough about the great things about Hajek!

I have been a substitute teacher since last October, and this is the worst school I have been to. The environment is not good for students or teachers. The classrooms are chaotic, and there is no support from the administration. I do not recommend this school.

These educators consistently demonstrate deep content knowledge, innovative teaching strategies, and a strong ability to connect with students across all learning levels.What sets the TIA teachers apart is their focus on results while still fostering creativity and curiosity and building those student relationships to meet each of their individual needs. They make data-driven decisions without losing sight of the human side of teaching. Their lessons are well-structured, engaging, and inclusive. It's clear that they go above and beyond—both in and out of the classroom—to ensure their students thrive.Parents appreciate the open communication and transparency, and students benefit from a structured yet nurturing environment. The presence of such high-performing teachers elevates the entire campus, setting a standard of excellence that motivates the whole community.In short, Deer Creek Elementary—bolstered by its exceptional TIA teachers—is a place where kids don’t just attend school; they flourish.

This school is not a safe or supportive place for children, especially students with learning disabilities. There is very little structure, and staff often seem frustrated when they have to work with special-needs students instead of providing proper support.When parents advocate for their children, the school responds by labeling kids as “unstable,” calling emergency services, or suspending them not because the child is dangerous, but because the school does not want to deal with their needs. This is traumatic for students and families.Children who need help are treated like problems instead of being supported. Families deserve better.
