Crowley Alternative School

I only put neutral because I have no experience with the special education program of Taylor elementary and I don’t want to diminish anyone else’s experience. But I want to let parents know that my daughter is thriving here. Mrs P, and her paras are a gem. My anxiety has pretty much all but left. My daughter is in prek, communication is amazing. She’s picking up emotional regulation skills from her teachers as well. As a parent who was dreading school, she’s loving it! So I’m loving it!

This school has been an absolutely wonderful place for both of our children. The Special Education Program here is top notch. The teachers really show care and admiration for the students and act as advocates for their learning. We still have one child going to school here and I honestly miss having both of them at Hajek. We have had experiences very different at another school in a different district, and moving to the Mistletoe Hill neighborhood was life changing (in a great way) for our children. Can't say enough about the great things about Hajek!

It's clear that they go above and beyond—both in and out of the classroom—to ensure their students thrive.Parents appreciate the open communication and transparency, and students benefit from a structured yet nurturing environment. The presence of such high-performing teachers elevates the entire campus, setting a standard of excellence that motivates the whole community. In short, Deer Creek Elementary—bolstered by its exceptional TIA teachers—is a place where kids don’t just attend school; they flourish.

This school has gone down tremendousl ! The SPED class can’t keep a teacher, maybe because they are lazy, some came across as incompetent & was just in it for the pay. The SPED kids getting treated like they are a burden, I truly hated that my child had to come there. The principal didn’t care about how things were handled in SPED. The ratings was terrible & I was embarrassed that my child was at this school. TEA & the state really needs to get more involved because it is getting worse by the year. I had lunch with my child last year, & the cafeteria spoke or shall I say YELLED at the children like they were dogs! She was VERY MEAN spirited towards the children, I was truly shocked ! I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. It’s horrible, don’t be fooled by the neighborhood. It’s a mess when trying to drop off your child & pick them up, there’s NO ORGANIZATION, it’s every man( person/child ) for itself & you better hope to not get ran over. I wanted to give zero 0 stars . Needs a new administrator & principal that truly cares .

They treat kids bad they don't care if they are getting bullied

My daughter needed extra help , I asked numerous times for the extra help due to my daughter falling behind tremendously and they told me they do not offer extra help. I immediately took her out … when I went to the school to sign her out teachers were making fun of a child who peed there pants . This school is HORRIBLE! Do not recommend bringing your baby here .
