8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWell, the principal made my child cry at open house because they had all the kids in the same room, my kindergarten son saw his best friend and wanted to play the games they were playing. The principal made my son burst into tears saying he couldnt play with his best friend because those games were only for ymca after school program. Who puts a bunch of games and toys out during a pta/open house and thinks it's okay to yell at children because they want to join in too? The Pta meeting was a joke, like ten parents were there. I love my son's teacher, but everything about the school is kind of ghetto. We moved and my son now goes to a different school in the Deer Park school district and the difference is like night and day. He is actually happy to go to school and is doing fantastic. This school is a joke, they also screamed at my husband saying he couldn't come inside on father take your son to school day. Worst school ever. The principal needs to be fired. And my son already knows all they are teaching him. Run away from this school, plus more than half of the children are limited in English and they also have low test scores. So happy we got a better house and can send my son to a school that cares and does not exclude children or make them cry/yell at them.Parent Review9y ago1 Reviews - Sam Houston Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFamily Christian Family is a school that thrives off of academic improvements, student bondings, and spiritual motivations. This school provides student with excessive amounts of knowledge continuously being spread daily. However, this school contains students and many people that do not adhere to the values and standards of the school. Rather than further improving, a steady decline further exacerbated due to lackadaisical and inconsiderate personnel choices, past accusations of discrimination and straying away from its former grounds of spiritual motives. Family Christian Academy continues to decline in its standards and foundations annually. Lunch food has been deemed terrible, though in reality it's below average; The Food choices are not the most luxurious but tasteful enough to quench students hunger while satisfying the cravings they may contain as well. Family Christian Academy has been organized to instill spiritual beliefs into its students, teaching spiritual standards and grounds upon its students. in comparison, the school has been regarded to fail due to its students' ability to interpret it. Family Christian Academy does a good of presenting itself to families, being welcoming towards external family members outside of the students. Students have been inclined towards the feeling of neglect due to lack of emotional support, and the relentless factor of work within the curriculum; Students are feeling enslaved to the curriculums rather than being able to interpret and understand it at their own interpretation. Family Christian Academy has not been living to its former glory due to adjustments in the execution of their core values and belief teachings.Other Review5mo ago9 Reviews - Creative Corner

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAre you the parent of a tiny human being and researching the private preschool in the Houston area? Look no further, you have found THE PERFECT SCHOOL bar none!! I can attest to this from personal experience; I'm a former Creative Corner teacher AND my one and only daughter attended this school as SOON as she was old enough to enroll. Creative Corner Child Development Center is a family owned business with over 40 years educational experience and community involvement. Generations of families have made Creative Corner a cornerstone for their child's education. Once your little one becomes a student at CC, they are alumni for LIFE! In spirit of this, we return from time to time to say hello and check in. Pamela Humphries, the original owner and executive director has mentored HUNDREDS of students and teachers during her tenure (including myself). Her educational program spans a range FAR BEYOND cultivating your child's MOST fundamental and formative years. CC alumni have grown up to attend prestigious universities in and out of state. Indeed, early childhood development is Creative Corner's area of expertise, but it's noteworthy to mention their program is designed to develop the WHOLE CHILD. The pillars of their program encompass academic, cognitive, and social-emotional development. The extraordinary teaching staff begin this by creating environments of belonging and connection for students to engage and thrive in.To offer context for this review, the pandemic has compelled many of us to reflect in many areas of our lives. This reflection has helped me release what doesn't work for my family and return to what is good for my family. Education being chiefly among them. In light of this, I wish Creative Corner offered a program through high school!! My daughter is now middle school aged and I'm proud to share she is navigating preadolescence with a strong foundation that Creative Corner helped her establish. I am now in search for a private school that will help her prepare for her future in an ever changing world!Without a doubt, the world is evolving rapidly and can make parenting and decision making very challenging. So, if you find yourself at the critical juncture of deciding where to enroll your child for preschool, take it from me, Creative Corner has stood the test of time. Their program is a return to all that is good for young learners. Give them a call TODAY and see for yourself!Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews
