4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the first year my kids have gone to the school. My daughter is in kindergarten and my son is in third grade. never have I ever been to a school that is so disorganized and some of the teachers are rude. The front office doesn’t ever know anything happening in the classrooms or know about a situation. My daughter got hurt before and I never got a call from the office when she got hurt on the head. Despite my daughter getting hurt, they are bad at communication. My kids are never going to the school ever again worst school ever. I only took them because we live across the street at the apartments. I would give zero stars to this school, but I had to at least give one in order to write the review.I would never recommend this school to anyone!Parent Review3mo ago17 Reviews - Purple Sage Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent and a teacher, I cannot recommend Purple Sage. While there are teachers and staff sprinkled in who care for children, the majority of adults live their school lives demeaning students and parents. The assistant principal does not enjoy children unless they are quiet and compliant, while the head principal will tell parents whatever they want to hear to get them to go away and talks in circles to get out of any situation. There is no situation, big or small, that they feel they're in the wrong, could improve on, or would accept partnership to help students. They always deny any wrongdoing. This behavior trickles down to the teachers, so then teachers feel confident that they can treat students and parents in any way, because they are also never in the wrong. If ever an issue, the school is always in the right and refuses to hear all sides, with the bottom line being that they did nothing wrong and it is the students' personal issues that cause issues. Teachers are told they do not have to respond to parents, and that admin will handle issues; then the principals refuse to put anything in writing (email) and will only call over the phone to discuss matters. When they do email, they are vague and leave interpretation of them in a good light. Learning disabilities are ignored, then poor classwork and grades are blamed on "bad behaviors"; students are told "they know better than that" and "your parents would be so disappointed" instead of being taught how to work through issues or even asking the students' point of view. If students cannot keep up with the work, they are blamed and called out in front of peers in the classroom. Students see and hear adults treating students poorly - calling specific students out all the time, calling them unkind nicknames, and singling them out - then fellow students think it is okay to treat others this way, and they do. There is a bullying issue from teacher to student, and student to student; however, the student who is seen as different and being singled out is the one who ends up being called the problem. The school leads the outside world to believe that there are no issues on campus, and parents who don't have to deal with anything other than sending their kid to school and picking them up don't know what actually happens at PSE and just show up to PTA events believing everyone is experiencing a "good school". There is a huge number of families that are silenced and made to feel unwelcome every day.Parent Review4w ago18 Reviews - Cypress Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSummit has been a wonderful school for our daughter the past three years. I am surprised by the negative reviews, as our experiences are extremely positive and we are happy to recommend this school to anyone. The advanced classes are rigorous enough and manageable enough for our daughter to thrive and enjoy school. All the teachers she has had always have been caring, with hearts centered on Christ, and their attention to her understanding and success. This is a place that has helped mold our daughter and prepare her for more leadership and volunteer opportunities as well as helping her step into confidence in herself. We are grateful for the Christian worldview and the culture standards set by the administration.Parent Review1mo ago30 Reviews - Hill Country Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI started off as a parent over 18 years ago (have 2 graduates and one entering high school) and loved it so much I decided to join the staff over 15 years ago! This school offers great academics (even on level courses are high level- vs. AP classes). This school does a great job at supporting and growing students academically and intentional character building across campus and all grade levels. In lower school, they build foundations and memorize. In middle school, they start to think logically and by high school they are able to have deeper conversations in subjects. The relationships and activities across grade levels are intentional (as all students are on one campus). The academics are strong. The electives and sports are small enough where there is more equal opportunity. Our school wide events and grade level events have stood the test of time (they still have the time-honored 'Camp Watermelon' from when my oldest 1st grade to when my youngest over 12 years ago). This speaks to tradition and investing in children.Parent Review1mo ago78 Reviews - Officer Leonard A Reed Elementary School
