Bullard Intermediate School

It has been horrible. They do not help the kids who don't come from money, even if the parents are involved. It runs very much on a who you know system. The only good thing the school has are the teachers. They truly love the kids and will work so hard to make sure the kids are getting what they need.

Brook Hill for the most part is a great school. For the most part education is paramount. They excel there well there. The Athletic Department is the weak point. The Athletic Director is not in tune with the students. At the school's expense, the Athletic Director is given trips abroad in the name of recruiting. What athlete is needed from abroad for a small private school in East Texas. Also, the students are required to patriciate in sports they did not sign up for or like to play. This is a moral killer to the student as most time they are left to sit on a bench to quote " field a team". Due to their lack of ability, they also inquire an injury related to a lack of training. If a student has a doctor appointment, it is frowned upon to schedule during athletics by the Athletic Director. So, a review of a math test should be missed, but a review of how to run around a track has a higher degree of learning. You will be required to work concessions stand to take in receipts at gate entry or be fined 200.00 dollars. Even though your spent 400.00 feeding the students the week before on an out-of-town trip because the kids did not come prepared to cover THEIR cost of feeding. Your 400.00 does not apply toward the fine. Students are required to lifts weights PRIOR to the day they have an event. Most student athletes complain of muscle fatigue and or soreness making participation the next day difficult. The Athletic program needs a revamp from the top down. The education side is run way better. If you are looking for top notch education Brook Hill is your school. IF your child plays sports be cautious. It is a mismanaged part of the school.
