Read what parents are saying about Lorenzo De Zavala Elementary SchoolBoth my kids have went to De Zavala since kindergarten! Love the teachers and staff.
Posted by a parent on 12/26/2016I love this school. I have never had problems and my girls are getting smarter every day. My oldest is in 1st grade and is already in 2nd grade reading level. My young one is my wild child but her teacher is still able to handle her and discipline her plus she surprises me w her grades. No bullying problems. I have also seen the kids play outside and the teachers always watch them. Kudos to Mrs. Garcia Mrs. Griffith and Mrs. Starr
Posted by a parent on 1/9/2014This school is horrible!!!!They are so irresponsible and very very rude they are also very disorganized if you dont have to send your child there dont!! Its sad that they are suppose to educate our childern and its anything but that apperance wise the school looks ok but it offers nothing for the childern if you care about your childs education this is not the place for you. I can not wait to get my daughter out of this school she is way way to good for this school. And shame on the principal that is suppose to be the person that runs the school and make sure the staff does what it should but its obvious they dont care about the students or quality of the school as a whole its a very low class school if i could give zero stars i would it shouldnt even get the one star credit
Posted by a parent on 10/21/2013This school is clean and has a really great nurse who always calls when anything happens to the kids. My babies are both making honor roll so I think the school is great!!
Posted by a community member on 8/2/2013This school is atrocious. Bullying, LICE infestations, and sub-par lesson plans are just a few of the many problems in this horrendous state-funded daycare they call an elementary school. The teachers single out students and do part of the bullying themselves. It seems like they give license to teach to just anyone these days. Do NOT send your children to that place. I won't be sending mine next year!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have never seen a worse excuse for a school in my life. Kids are constantly bullied, and nothing is ever done about it. I can't even say a fifth of what needs to be said here because my post will just get deleted again, but it is the truth. My children are home schooled this year, and now we are moving just to get out of this district. NEVER AGAIN, DON'T DO IT. Not even if you find a house that is nice and cheap in the area. My husband week have a 2 hour committee each day to get into a worthwhile school for our children, but after or one year experience here, he considers it worth it. What a nightmare.Parent Review9y ago - Carver Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful teachers but awful administration staff. The principal is never on campus on important events and when she is there she seems uninterested in engaging in the event. The Hispanic community is not even addressed at times. There was recently a family night event hosted at Carver where most of the parents attending were Hispanic, yet the speech given was not translated to Spanish to accommodate to the needs of the non-English speaking parents. This event was also very unorganized as there was not enough seating provided for the families. Parents are sometimes not even notified of events. In addition, there are no incentives offered to students such as student of the week. Overall the school is very poorly managed.Parent Review9y ago - James Bowie Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSan Jacinto Elementary in Baytown Texas is a great school. My granddaughter loves going and that says a lot about a school. The environment is one of happy faces and Ali reads very well. Ali is going into the second grade and reads at a 3rd grade level in my opinion. Tonight she is going to meet her second grade teacher and I see an excited little girl. Makes my heart happy to see her enjoy school so much! I attribute that to the wonderful staff that teaches and leads the children. The crossing guard Ms. rose (that is not her name but is close) makes sure the children are safe. That is my biggest concern...no safe roads are around the school. There is not any parking so there can be no plays are parent participation because there is not any parking for parents to become a proud participant in the child's development. If there was parking this would be a five star school! Thanks to everyone from the cafeteria and janitors to the teachers and principle Ali is a happy school girl. Thanks to all for everything:)Other Review10y ago - Wee School and First Baptist Academy
