Read what parents are saying about Lakeway Elementary SchoolWe love Lakeway Elementary! The teachers and their leadership are wonderful. They are very supportive and always encourage parent-teacher communication. What I love most is that the teachers in each grade level seem to get to know ALL students not just the ones in their class so you have the feeling that they are always watching out for everybody and it creates a sense of one big family while at school feeling. It has been a wonderful experience and we absolutely LOVE LWE!
Posted by a parent on 10/10/2017We moved from Northern California to Austin and settled in Lakeway due to the top rated schools in the area! This was our first priority! We did a ton of research (a deep dive online, interviewed parents that lived in the Austin area, parents that moved from Northern CA to Austin, TX, and we interviewed some of the faculty from the 5 elementary schools). When it was all said and done, Lakeway Elementary rose to the top on all occasions (grades, reputation/history, environment, enrichment opportunities, art/music programs, parent involvement, safety, nurse on staff, and more). And, what sealed the deal was when we met the principal of LWE. He personally took us on a tour and based our visit, it was clear to us how much passion and love the Principal had for his school and students. Our daughter loves her school and teachers! Everyone is so nice and helpful and truly cares about the children's education and well-being. No mean kids, no bullying, no bad teachers. We are so glad we took the time to find such a great school and school district! You can't go wrong with Lakeway Elementary and the LTISD.
Posted by a parent on 1/20/2015My daughter has already attended 4 elementary schools in 3 different states (and she is only in 4th grade). She was at Lakeway Elementary for 2nd grade. I can honestly say that this is the school that I use as a benchmark for ranking all other schools. The teachers and staff were great, the level of parent involvement was amazing, and the children were well-manner and well-behaved, in addition to being very welcoming my daughter. If I had my choice, we would move back to TX & have her go back to Lakeway Elementary!!!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe really love this school and are surprised by the low ratings compared to others in the LTISD. I think that may be due the different economic status of the students zone for this school. Regardless, it's a nice campus with very caring teachers. Administration has also been great. The personal touch , family gatherings and celebrations we experienced over the years are still very dear to our hearts. Till this day, we keep in close touch with families we met. Likeminded people.I always had this feeling of security letting my child go to Blubonnet day after day. I know the leaders and owners of this organization and they are people of great integrity. This is reflected in all aspects of their facilities and curriculum - in their course of studies, which is current and in keeping with the demands of a global focus and community, in the facilities themselves which are state of the art and designed in a way that is joyfully encouraging learning and, of course, in the healthy meals provided by Whole Foods. My son will soon need to choose a school for his children - I will enthusiastically recommend Abercorn International to him! N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile the majority of teachers here love and care for their students and provide an exceptional environment for learning, the owners of the company rule with an iron fist. They are not transparent with staff and parents about anything. They treat their employees as servants. They hire people based on their ability to walk in the door. Then quickly discover they don't like them. At that point, they set them up to fail so that either they quit or get fired. Really and truly, the owners of this facility while they have very good intentions are horrible at managing people which is ironic since they're supposed to love them so much.
