Harmony School of Science - Austin

This school helped kids learn a lot, but its been bad (at least in 2025, currently). They make the children run laps nonstop sometimes, plus they make them have silent lunch, even though lunch is one of the only times they get to talk freely with each other. The lunch monitors make the kids go outside after their lunch, and make them run laps, also wasting one of the only times they get to talk and have free time. Their excuse is: "Oh, we expect more of 5th graders because they're the leaders of the school." Also, whenever one student does something bad during lunch, like face the opposite side of their food, the WHOLE 5th grade gets in trouble, and they can't talk for the rest of lunch. Their excuse for this is that "5th grade is a team". Like what? Your punishing them all for something small, and something 1 person did? Some of the staff just seem really controlling. But either way, I think this school is good to send your kid to.

Amazing school, everything to the tea! Except one teacher in special education always having some commentary that's negative , negative, negative!!! Heard her multiple occasions on pick up talking to the special education students in a impolite manner. I mean kids are kids but what's the reason? Also when communicating with other staff I've heard the absolute worst. If your teaching in special education in general aren't you supposed to be positive and uplifting to these students and parents? Not being judgemental ..... The teacher is a older Caucasian women with glasses. Judging by her attitude i doubt it's hard to identify her.

The teachers at this school are incredibly rude. They're always gossiping amongst themselves and are extremely discourteous to parents and students. My children will never return to this place, and I certainly don't recommend it. There are much better schools with teachers who love children and their work. This place isn't worth it. If the teachers have this bad attitude toward parents, I don't even want to imagine what they're like when they're alone with the children.
