Travis Middle School

I liked this school because it was the nearest to my house. The teachers were very nice and it was nice to be playing on the playground and learn new things.

I have to say as a teacher there, I love it! I have worked there for 6 years now and I don't think there's another place I would rather be. My coworkers are awesome, I know we ALL care about our wonderful children and the parents are caring and want the best for their children. The administration is great and very supportive of us, parents and most of a the students.

Seems between the teaching of the non english speaking children and the english speaking children. There are not enough resorces to keep up.

One of the worst schools you could take you hold to. There are a few nice teachers, head lice is an epidemic in this school my child got them four times until they finally changed her locker. My children have been attending this school for three years an have not been on one field trip. There are no activities for the children at the end of the year. They try to cram to many subjects together at once which makes it hard for the child to learn. I've sat in the class room with my children a few times the teachers do not make learning fun or exciting my son spends most I his day teaching himself in centers! This school has the some of the worst reading scores in amarillo I blame the teachers. There reward systems is no good. Most of the staff in this school seem completely oblivious to what's going on half the time. Very annoying and frusterating. This will be the last year my children spend at this school!

This is an awful school. They say they are against bullying and that they are all bull dogs yet they allow cliques in this school. It's elementary school. Not high school. My daughter is bullied and called names. The teachers haven't done anything about it. The teachers allow a group of children to be called the "boss squad" and told the children not to tell us parents about it. Well guess what they did. Then the teacher lied to me and said she knew nothing about this said "boss squad".
