Alvarado Intermediate School

This school has not given me a positive impression, which is disappointing as a parent. There seems to be a pattern of overly rigid policies and a lack of flexibility that doesn’t always reflect the realities families face. Communication around expectations and discipline has been unclear at times, making it difficult to understand how certain decisions are made. Some consequences feel disproportionate and not focused on guidance or redirection. I also don’t feel that students’ individual needs are always being accommodated. There appears to be a one-size-fits-all approach rather than taking into consideration different learning styles and behaviors. Overall, I would like to see a more supportive and reasonable approach. One that prioritizes clear communication, consistency, and a better balance between structure and understanding for students and families.

I have not had any problems with this school. Everyone is friendly and attentive to the children. I have always felt welcome when I went into the office and have not had a single person be rude to me. My daughter loves her school and her teachers. She has learned a huge amount in a short time. It's amazing!
