great high school and it seems that my kids will do great here.athletics are great to.go chiefs,the school to be at for all you need to get ready for college..

My child took all honors classes and took some college courses while in high school graduating in the top 5% of her class. Now in college she is struggling to get by because there were so many topics, especially certain math principals, that were not taught at CHS. As with every school there are some very talented, gifted teachers that go all out to see the kids succeed. Unfortunately, they are few and far between. The administration rewards athletes, JROTC, and the children of local figures but did not recognize the kid (not mine) who got a 36 on his ACT or the 5 who got full ACADEMIC scholarships, and then recognized the wrong people of the academic clubs--- at the ACADEMIC awards. Hind sight is 20-20 and if I had it to do again my oldest child wouldn t have gone there. My younger children will be going to Kingsport to attend high school.

This school is great at giving equal opportunity and creates very bright young adults ready for the world
