Posted by a community member on 2/27/2023It’s not the Christian environment it once was when it was David Lipscomb. Many of the amazing teachers that made this school great have transferred or have been forced out. I regret ever sending my children there.
Posted by a parent on 8/23/2022The teachers and students are very bad. I did not feel welcome at this school. The administration was poor at responding to my friend and I being sexual harassed at this school. Please do not send your child here if you want to have your child free from sexual talk.

The school is safe, focuses on kindness and respect for other cultures, and the children get an incredible education. We feel like it is the best elementary school in Nashville, and are grateful to have gotten in. The parents are super involved and supportive. We moved to a neighborhood in Nashville for the zoned public elementary, but were overwhelmed with the setting and leadership at Linden; it was an easy decision to transition into the Waldorf environment. The focus on the child, supported with data, meeting children where they are in their development vs the public model focused on testing with limited outdoor/free play, was the biggest driver in our decision making. We would not have selected another private school. We feel so luck to be part of this special community of families and educators. He plays football and is highly involved in the Arts. Lipscomb has given him so much love and support through his time there. He has grown into a very well rounded, responsible young man.
