Read what parents are saying about Antioch High SchoolAll the deans and principals are just overall rude and disrespectful towards students, parents, and even teachers. This year has been so far the worst. I cannot mention one teacher that has not complained about the unrealistic expectations the admin has for them. I can guarantee that 99.99% of the students are unhappy in this school. Never in a million years would I send my children here.

Posted by a student on 11/14/2023This school strives for uniqueness and for strong characters. How can this be encouraged if your environment fails to set up that system? Matter a fact, I feel like this school tries to set up a system but fails and eventually leave that system broken. Teachers can be so sweet and under appreciated. Some aren’t meant to be teachers that’s okay but our education afterwards is taken so lightly. As we lose many teachers that is more of a metro issue but it falls in the hands of Antioch. This school tries to motivate students but often group them all together and believe it’s so easy. It is hard being a teacher so why not check in with teachers also? Why let a cycle go unseen? And I’m so disappointed teachers group students as something they aren’t. Being a minority school feels like identities that aren’t seen, as we often don’t get encouraged in events or in team spirits I mainly hear racist remarks that is said in front of teachers faces or staff members. School is meant for learning but teens are expected to go out in the world and thrive? But that is a system broken. School takes up so much of our lives and it isn’t being taught effectively. Being ignored. Being in a cycle. I’m very involved and passionate about learning I just don’t know how to express my self if those attempts are unseen always and if others aren’t being heard. We are ultimately alike. Why is encouragement lacked? And why are non native speakers so underlooked and “troubled “ The homework is in English and many don’t speak English. Just because they are older does not exclude them from a high school community or their identity . parents don’t participate because their child and them don’t feel comfortable and open to an environment like Antioch to feel safe. :D I’m just finished ranting I would for sure give this 2 stars if the school took more care of students and it’s system and actual education.
Posted by a student on 2/20/2023Antioch High School is an ideal representation of the failing MNPS school system. They apply no effort in helping low-income students succeed to get out of the cycle, and even high-achieving students struggle to be accepted to good colleges due to the school's reputation and their sub-par academic standards. Rigorous courses like IB and AP are mediocre at best, and the majority of students fail the final exam as they cannot compete at the national academic level. This school must either be shut down or replaced by an extremely experienced administration with a record of flipping schools. The standards at this school lag far behind the perceived American education. Avoid all traditional MNPS schools at all costs. Look for magnet or charter schools that will respect your child's future.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here from another state and the start of my kids first year was a joke. Very frustrating, and overall poorly ran. The teacher is never there per my child and bonuses into other classrooms. She has terrible communication as does the principal. My child’s safety was an issue with the bus routes or busses failing to show up and the school/district didn’t have answers or care to the issue. Still doesn’t. I’m pulling him from this school. Students don’t deserve to deal with teachers not being there, staff poorly communicating and actually trying to make a change. They are great at shifting the blame game. And great at blowing off your issues.Parent Review2y ago - Lakeview Elementary Design Center

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience with this school has been anything but nice. Please send your children elsewhere they will not be cared for here. Administration is incompetent from the principals to the teachers, even the RSO. They do NOT watch the children as they should. My child had three different teachers just within the first few months this school year, and still does not have one. The curriculum is poor, kids do not get sent home with homework or any graded work/updates until progress report/report cards. Also they will punish kids for standing up for themselves against bullies. Hoping to help a family. Send your babies elsewhere.Parent Review4mo ago - Lavergne Lake Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExactly what we prayed for! I needed a school that would care about my nephew-son's whole being. The school leadership, teachers, and staff are top notched. Ezell has great communication with parents and several of opportunities for students to grow academically, spiritually, and athletically. I loved that my child was not just a number. He was seen. The environment of the school felt like a family, and they took excellent care of him. His core classes stretched him and pushed him to be his best. His bible class challenged him and helped him grow to be a better young man. His time on both the football and basketball team provided the additional discipline and responsibility that helped continue to develop his character. From that first day of school hug with Mrs. B to being 12 days from graduation we have been extremely blessed to be a part of the Ezell Harding family. My nephew is on his way to a fantastic future having earned an academic scholarship to college, and big part of that is the education, care, and environment Ezell Harding provided.Parent Review11mo ago - Lighthouse Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaven't been any happier with a school. The most amazing teachers that just loves, and cares for your child. They love teaching and it shows when the child runs into the classroom every morning or talks about school on the weekend. My youngest was struggling in so many things at the beginning of the year, with behavior and what she knew, to now knowing so many things I didn't even know she would learn and her behavior has done so much better. This school gotes above and beyond to keep the children to want to learn, and get closer with God. Really wouldn't recommend any other place but this one <3Parent Review9mo ago
