Bad environment, mediocre teaching, and terrible people. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

I hate this school. I know that hate is a strong word but it is greatly needed to describe my opinion of this school. Honestly it makes me depressed and not like school at all. I have been in tennis and robotics both of which are under funded and so no one in them is able to really enjoy what they like. I never feel safe going to the bathroom because I know that there will be kids vaping in there. Aside from the people in the bathrooms the bathrooms themselves are absolutely disgusting. The school is always needing repairs because it is so old and it even flooded once from rain. The safety this school offers is close to none. The lockdown button did not work and the ways they try to make the school more secure do not work and make it actually more unsafe. The lunches make me starve myself because it is not heathy and it tastes terrible. The Johnson County School System and School Board really just does not care about the students and sit around on their butts all day getting paid for nothing. They buy crazy expensive programs that no one uses and don't even help with learning. Instead of spending so much money on things like that they should put it towards things that actually matter to us. The overall quality of this school is horrible and does not allow me to learn the way I should be. Out of all of the schools that I have been to this one has by far been the worst.

All three of my children attended schools here. Although not perfect, most of the teachers are positive and energetic. Sometimes they actually bend over backwards to support special needs.

The school is just horrible. It’s the worst school I have ever been to. The school bathrooms are very disgusting, the lunches aren’t even meals, and in 4th lunch, they just get leftovers, not real meals.

This school is overall terrible. The staff doesn’t even deal with bullying, and that is awful. If you say you care about your students, then do something about bullying and such. Many students yell out slurs, the staff doing nothing about it.My parents went up to the school, to complain about the bullying I was going through, and the staff did absolutely nothing. The school says they care about the students, but we don’t even get full meals, a lot of the food is expired most of the time, and 4th lunch people just get leftovers. They should at least know how many people to even serve.And this isn’t even at the high school, it’s at every Johnson Country school. I remember when my friend literally found a bug in their food. This was in elementary.The staff has also been extremely rude to students. I remember I put my name down as something else, I am trans, and a substitute started raising his voice and getting angry over the fact that I put a different name down.There have also been substitutes that have told students to “shut up”, especially in elementary. There have been teachers who have cussed as well. So, all in all, this is the worst school ever.
