Most people always talk about kirby high school in a bad way. They say "the kids at kirby is bad", "the teachers are not teaching the students right", "the administers can't control the kids"...etc. But all of this is not true, there's alot of kid that are disrespectful, not because of the school it
Posted by a community member on 5/20/2014Kirby is a great and very educated school. Yes I am aware of the behavior that has nothing to do with the school if the child wasn't raised right. It was between that child and that child's parents. The teachers are great and wealthy .

Most of the teachers & administration are unprofessional & the students run the school with their bad behavior! This school is a great example of how Memphis City Schools not getting it

The police presence before and after school made me feel like I was dropping off and picking my child up from prison instead of high school. My child attended Kirb

The fairer skinned children are rewarded and treated better than the darker students. They will ignore a darker child if a lighter child is approaching to make them feel belittled and have low self worth. This deception is disguised as a biblical education. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageross is a great school for my kindergarten i would like her to stay at that school until she is out of school the only problem that i do have is the parking when school lets out you can't find a parking space cars will block you in therefore you cannot get out. The school have so much space that is not being used they should try to expand the lot and my only other issue is when it rains it would take 30 min before they let any one out because they are calling each child name one at a time.. My daughter started her cycle for the first time at school and she was embarrassed because all of her classmates saw that she had blood coming from her pants. I went to the and brought clothes and wipes so she could clean herself up but they allow her to leave class because it was 2pm. They told me everything was ok because they gave her a pad and shorts to change into but made her keep the same bloody underwear on. Her teachers pushed her even though she working above her grade level and in 3rd grade she got perfect scores in math for the TCAP.
