N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInitially St.Luke was a great school with great teachers, until they kicked my son out because he had 1 seizure at home.I volunteered to pay out of pocket to have the staff properly trained(seizures and medicines),yet the school told me my child was too much of a liability. This disheartened me because my 3 yr old has no learning disabilities (he may only have one seizure in his lifetime).Did I mention he had been back at the school since having the seizure for over a mth with no complications. It wasn't until I brought precautionary medicine in the event he has another seizure that had him kicked out(he does not take meds everyday). This is not what I expected from a faith based school.According to them they are allowed to discriminate against children with disabilities because they are a private school(WOW)! This happened on the first day of school now I have to explain to my son why St. Luke no longer wants him as a student. Also, why he has to get to know a new teacher, friends, and environment. Can someone tell me when a child will have a seizure? The answer is...you never know so as a school for over 50 yrs you would think they would have welcomed any training dealing with children!Parent Review12y ago - St. Anne Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was not accepted due to his learning disability. Over the the phone explained my son's situation she made it sound like it's not a problem she emailed us the paper work and explained to us what we need to do. They also charge me $50.00 dollars to do an entrance test. It's sad after my son took the test she said they will call us back and give us the results. I received the phone call the following day just to be turned down and say they don't have any resources for my son and he didn't do well on his exam! My son was heart broken is this what's chatolic school do not give kids with disability a chance? If she knew my son's situation from the beginning why even waste our time!Parent Review7y ago - Barbara K. Lipman Early Learning & Research Center at the Un

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLipman is one of the best early learning programs in the Midsouth. It's very hard to get into because the wait list is so long, so put your child on it as soon as you can. Every teacher at this school is so dedicated to learning, and really implements a hands-on, child-led philosophy in the classroom. Our daughter attended the Reggio Preschool III class (4 year old preschool), and her teacher was wonderful. They were always doing fun projects, and many days she would come home and teach *me* things. Her class had several graduate students as assistant teachers, so the child to teacher ratio came out to be about 5 students to a teacher. I believe each classroom has at least one graduate assistant. There are Reggio classrooms and a Montessori classroom. The level of parent involvement here is also very high, and it feels more like a community than it does a school. Tuition here is VERY affordable, less than $6k a year, and aftercare is provided at a very reasonable cost as well. I love that the staff truly loves what they are doing and wants the kids to love learning.Parent Review9y ago - Cornerstone Prep - Lester Campus

Parents have less than 30 minutes to pick up their kids to avoid late reporting. BECAUSE THE STAFF IS LEAVING AT 3:15PMParent Review8y ago - Exceptional Children Special Placements
