Being a student at MCHS, I can comfirm that the food is terrible and over priced, we don't get enough food for our moneys worth, the arts programs are VERY neglected, the athletic programs get WAY TOO MUCH of the schools fundings, and the new renovations are extremely inconvenient for the students. We won't have lockers for most of the year and going from class will be like walking through a construction zone every hour and a half. Tennessee schools were in the 30s from a country wide ranking, and it doesn't seem like they're trying to do anything to fix that.

It is a mediocre school. It seems as if MCHS does not do anything to make themselves or their students stand out academically. While athletic programs are great here, you cannot always rely on athletic performances for a future. Moore County also needs to step up in what they feed their students with better quality food, considering there are less than 500 kids between 7th and 12th grades, with out charging a lot of money for. E.G. 2 dollars for 4 or 5 chicken nuggets. May I also point out that this school has very suspicious and nonchalant ways of getting money like charging $20 dollars to receive a confiscated phone back. I may also agree with an previous post from years ago. It seems like a fraction of the teachers here don't care enough for their students future, but instead only tries to make themselves as teachers look good. There are many teachers here that do really care for their students, but it needs to be a group effort from the whole school faculty. I say all of this from a 8 year high school student's point of view. The elementary school for this area is a much better place and environment for learning. So please do not conclude the same for the elementary.
