Read what parents are saying about Castle Heights Elementary SchoolMy daughter was struggling to read and came into first grade with some challenges. They caught her up in reading. Her teacher Mrs. Morrison is the best! She came to my daughters ballet performance. There was an issue with a few kids in my older daughters class being difficult. The teachers did an average job of helping my daughter feel comfortable.
Posted by a parent on 7/28/2023My son has Special needs, and I felt insecure about the unknown and hesitant about the school district's response. You all have made this process a learning and encouraging experience. If, at some point, we felt that we might need to leave our county and our house to secure our son's educational needs, it turned out that now I'm afraid of the possibility of having to move and losing any of you as a part of our team.
Posted by a parent on 4/5/2023The teachers are so kind, caring and informative, but the front office staff is rude, and seems to have personal beliefs that cause some sort of disdain for young parents, non white parents, or people who aren’t “the good ole boys” in lebanon. If you go in to the office, there are lots of dismissive attitudes, eye rolling, and very obvious control issues. Someone needs to remind Denise in particular that she’s here for these children, their educations, and to assist their families in helping their child be the best they can be. It’s a shame that children have suffered all because of the attitudes of some of these “adults”, who act like high schoolers. There shouldn’t be cliques among elementary school staff and parents. Front office staff is unprofessional, and that’s a shame. These teachers love the children, but the parents feel ostracized and belittled every time they set foot in the school. Racism seems to be an issue as well, as my child is mixed race, and has two last names that reflect both races. Only the non-ethnic sounding last name is used. I am really disappointed. Other non-white parents have expressed similar sentiments to me.

Posted by a parent on 8/10/2017We've been at CH since the rezoning and love it. The administration and teachers are fantastic. The school is very organized and clean. I've been very pleased with the academics at CH and my children have flourished.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had several horrible experiences with this school constantly. The teacher refused to allow my children to use the restroom and several children. If you send your child here make sure they are getting adequate restroom breaks.A teacher also told her classroom "girls to stay away from the boys." My daughter said "My brother is scared of girls." The teacher replied saying "When he becomes a teenager that he is going to be all up on the girls." My daughters read books for a donation event and for the simple fact they did not bring in money. They had to stay inside and be forced to read while the other children got to go outside have popsicles and play outdoors. FYI (we have only one income coming in right now limited on family/ friends). My daughter gets called short and gets asked constantly "Why are you short?" The teachers send the children home with multiple different fraction problems and with very little guidance on how to solve the problems. From (adding mixed fractions, subtracting mixed fractions, Multiplying mixed fractions, and on top of it asked to simplify the problems.)I asked my daughter if her teacher showed her how to do the math problem and her response was "she showed us how to do one and had us do the rest on our own." My daughter says that the teacher has them work together to solve the problem. My daughter shouldn't be asking another student to constantly how to solve problems. My daughter said "this is the way a classmate told her how to do it." (The classmate showed her a wrong way to do it and I had to correct her.)I am highly encouraged to find another school route next year or may even homeschool again. Anything is better than this.I would NEVER RECOMMENED this school. If you want a piece of trash school where teachers care more about money rather than their students. Than sure put your kids in this trashcan of a school.Parent Review2y ago - Covenant Life School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the best place for my child. Every child has opportunities to participate in school activities. Teachers pray daily with the children and biblical principles drive decision making and policy, NOT what is considered politically correct by the rest of the world today.Parent Review5y ago - The Cedars Preparatory Academy

My Husband and I looked at several Private Schools in Lebanon and ultimately we decided that Cedars Preparatory Academy was the best choice for us based on many factors: We LOVE the Principal, Mary Beard!!! ALL of the Teachers have morals and values that align with my family's. The cost of tuition is comparable to many daycares in the area. We are very impressed with the cirriculum for Pre-K. My daugher has been at Cedar's for 6 Months and she has progressed from having a very limited vocabulary to speaking in full articulate sentences. Everyday she comes home to show me a new Art Project or tell me new words that she has learned in Spanish, or sings a Bible Song that she learned. Being at Cedar's has given my daugher experiences that she could not have gotten at any other school. We are very pleased with the school, her teacher, and the Principal.Parent Review12y ago - Cedars Preparatory Academy
