A teacher has lied on my child, made her cry and took points off for behavior. Once the lie was exposed she changed the reason for points being deducted! Worst 5th grade teacher at NHW!

New Hopewell Elementary was designated as a Reward School for the 2021-2022 school year. Only 9 schools in Knox County received this designation for the 2021-2022 school year. New Hopewell was the only South Knoxville School to received this honor.

I have a son in fifth grade at New Hopewell this year and have a daughter in high school that went here too. I absolutely LOVE this school. I have only had one bad experience since 2007 and that was with a teacher that I just didn't click with. But in every other way, this school is awesome!

This school is a " just the right size" neighborhood school. We see the principal, teachers, and staff at the local Walmart, grocery stores, restaurants, and at events in the community. New Hopewell is a perfect community school. Everyone works together to help each child to be the best they can be.

New administrator/principal since the 2012-2013 school year. She loves the kids and listens to parents. All of the staff are among the best. I hear other parents from other schools talking. Their teachers and their principals are not friendly nor caring. They never see them. The New Hopewell Teacher

The teachers, staff, and the principal know my children and our community. It is like having my children in a private school without the cost. The teacher, staff, and principal really care the children. Everyone here goes above and beyond to help the students to be the best they can be. I wish I had attended this school and I wish all schools could be like this one.
