Harpeth Middle School

When I was a kid here, I got upset for failing a test and called my mom in the main office. The next semester the principal made fun of me on the intercom. The whole class laughed. Luckily it was anonymous at the time.

I give it a 5 star rating because the teachers will help you and they are kind

As a parent, it feels more like a prison than a school. I drop them off and hope they make it through with their head down. Education and imagination are secondary to conformity in thought and behaviour. My children don't feel cared for, they feel like burdens. I get that it's rural, pays poorly, and it is in a small town. Still, the discipline code has been shown in the literature to be ineffective. There is no recess for the young kids, and they expect young bodies to be still with no breaks for an entire day. Teachers are hard to reach and overtaxed. If I could afford to send my kids somewhere else, somewhere with a genuine care of children over rules, I would.

Great school! I would highly recommend to friends and family!
