Carters Valley Elementary School has some really good teachers but is poorly led and under resourced. There is very few opportunities for parent involvement.

The prinicipal and teachers at this school do a wonderful job with the students even though in a rural community with limited monies. They are very involved with the students. My daughter is in second grade and has absolutely excelled because of the caring attitudes of the teachers and staff of this

One of the best schools I have visited! The school culture is very welcoming. Every morning the principal stands outside to welcome every student. The teachers there spend hours of overtime each week (if you drive by there are cars there around the clock!) planning hands on lessons for the students. I have been very impressed with the focus on academics in a perfectly developmentally appropriate atmosphere! My child is reading 2 grade levels above her current grade, and her test scores are magnificent! Can't beat this awesome bundle in a school!
