When teachers act badly, the administration shields them and does not take action to solve problems.
Posted by a parent on 4/15/2026I hate this school. the teachers are harsh, the principals are all rude and they pick favorites, and just the school's vibe is all off. I only come to school to see my friends honestly.
Posted by a student on 5/22/2022My daughter transferred to this school from Washington High School in Sioux Falls because of medical discrimination at WHS (504 plan, diabetes). She had nothing but the best experiences at LHS. As a former teacher in the district, as well, I wish we had started her at LHS.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school 2 of my children have attended here 1 in special ed , 1 in regular ed. The principal now is terrific ,the teachers are great ! The entire staff is great ! My son (who is now in middle school ) is autistic , his teachers and EAs were the best ! One thing that impresses me about this school is that the staff and students seem to treat the special needs kids as people.
