Read what parents are saying about Alice Drive ElementaryI have two children that attended Alice Drive Elementary School. Every teacher they had were fantastic. The school recently received a STEM accreditation. The students collaborate on group projects frequently and the teachers development engaging lessons. The administrators are approachable and always willing to help.

My son has thrived at this school and his teacher Mrs. Johnston is above reproach! Her style of teaching and her dedication to her students is exceptional to say the very least! Alice Drive Elementary School has set an excellent foundation for my son's academic future! I could not be more pleased!

Posted by a parent on 4/26/2017There used to be 3 school districts but now only one. They no longer use the grading system 1-5. It is back to letter grades. We have throughly enjoyed Alice Drive Elementary. My boys have done great! They have been challenged in areas where they needed to be. It helps to be a parent who voluntaries at the school.
Posted by a parent on 6/20/2014I don't know who told the person who said there was only 1 school district for grades 3 and under but there are 3 districts; District 17, 80 and 2 in Sumter SC. What people need to remember is schooling is a give and take and should be 50% teacher/staff and 50% parental involvement. If you are uninvolved in your child's education you are going to get what you give. A lot of parents want to talk about how bad the schools are here, but those are likely the ones who ARE uninvolved in their child's education and expect the schools to raise their children and provide them with the morals and values that they should have been provided at home.

They are excited about what they learn everyday and have great ratios for class sizes. We are engaged by all of our kids teachers on a regular basis. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family is so glad we found this school when deciding whether to move to Sumter for work - we would not have moved to Sumter if our children could not attend Wilson Hall. We appreciate the Christian environment, the sense of camaraderie, and the outstanding academic program. The faculty and administration are top notch - the best we have encountered after many schools due to moving with the military. My children are able to participate in many different activities (quiz bowl, theater, football, tennis, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, debate, soccer) and have had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills while developing relationships with classmates and faculty. Wilson Hall is very welcoming to new students and my children easily found a group of good friends, as did my wife and I - it really is like a big family.
