Read what parents are saying about William M. Reeves Elementary SchoolTeachers will openly admit that they watch as your child gets bullied and called names. The assistant principal will inform you that if another child hit yours, and your child hits them back that it is just horse playing and your child will also have consequences. Even after reading the definition of assault and self defense to them. My child had amazing/supportive teachers last year and now we are dealing with this. If you send your child here, be sure to stay on top of any issues, document and understand that not everyone has your child best interest in mind.

Posted by a parent on 11/14/2019My child has now completed 3 grades at WRES. The school is very organized and the programs and special events are fresh and fun. The staff are kind and professional. We are very blessed to have our child attend WRES.

Posted by a parent on 5/24/2018This school has made me rethink my feelings on homeschool. Both of my children are very intelligent. My oldest is a straight A’s golden child. My younger son has some things that we are desperately working on. If you have a golden child, they will probably be bored but otherwise ok at Reeves. If you have a child that doesn’t fit in that box, prepare yourself for a nightmare. Also, prepare to fill out endless amounts of repetitious paperwork in order to register your child as Reeves is still stuck in the Stone Age and can’t figure out how to do things online. That’s because (as I was informed) “we just can’t trust computers”.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal is very fake. I don’t believe she genuinely cares about the children. The teachers are hit or miss, some great, a lot not so great. Front office staff is rude. My 2nd grader missed his bus home one afternoon , and they blamed him for not being where he was supposed to be, when the real issue was a teacher not calling out his bus number. Front staff was extremely rude about it. Another time, my son was sent to the library to learn “virtually” all day because he took his mask off when he couldn’t breathe. The pandemic has shown the true colors of the school, and sadly, they’re lacking. I asked for physical worksheets to be sent home for my 2nd grader (who spent most of 1st grade virtual) so he could physically work on his handwriting. The teacher’s response was that they don’t do that. So I had to order my own worksheets. They rely way too much on technology to teach kids, rather than building fine motor coordination with pencils, paper, glue, and scissors.
