Communication at this school is extremely poor. Important information is consistently sent home after the fact in folders, rather than being communicated in a timely and responsible way. There is little to no effort to gather details about situations before assumptions are made, which is unacceptable when it involves children.I’ve received paperwork with incomplete sentences and unclear information, which raises serious concerns about the level of professionalism and attention to detail. For a school responsible for educating young children, this should not be happening.Because of these ongoing issues, I will not be sending my child back next year. I’ve also seen firsthand that other families have had similar concerns—one of my neighbors removed their child from this school and has had a much better experience elsewhere.The lack of communication, poor documentation, and assumption-based handling of situations make it difficult to trust this school with my child’s well-being and education.

The campus is absolutely gorgeous with its landscaping and there are a handful of great teachers here but without strong leadership, the school remains in the dark ages. We would not return or recommend it. They couldn't meet the needs of our child and hadn't established a healthy and positive environment in which education could take place. "Policies" if there were any at all other than dress code, were applied inconsistently. There's no independent board or council with clear cut separation of duties from the administration and no transparency for the budget. Our child was in Montessori in Germany and that classroom looked and operated very differently from this one. We discovered there are other Montessori schools in the area that have a more classic and professional approach. There's great potential at this school but it will require strong leadership to bring it back up to par. If science and math are important to you, look elsewhere. At the time our child was a student, there wasn't a single teacher on the campus who had a background in science or a related subject. The integrated Spanish language program was excellent and taught by a very kind and loving native speaker from Mexico. Our child adored her and came home singing songs in Spanish. More teachers who are subject experts with real world knowledge would make a world of difference.

Five Oaks Academy was the the best decision we've ever made for our children. We have two kids who have different learning styles and personalities. Yet, both of them thrive at this school. The teachers/faculty are beyond amazing and tailor to each child's abilities and personalities. The entire school feels like an extended family. They truly care for each individual as well as the family. I did a ton of research when trying to decide on a school, and I couldn't be happier with our choice. Our kids are not only being prepared for the work world, they are also being prepared for the real world. They are learning how to manage their own time wisely, how to be a productive and empathetic member of society, and how to succeed on their own.
