Abiding Peace Academy

I gave the school 1 star because although it looks like nice on the outside, on the inside, most of the administrative staff has a superiority complex and it’s very weird because we’re adults. They lack empathy severely. I’ve had several issues with them that resulted in me contacting the superintendent. I basically have the superintendent number on speed dial at this point. The overall attitude of the school is terrible and you can tell they have favoritism. I also feel like they are prejudice. This school might have a little money but not all money is good money. They lack spirit. The school is ran like a corporation vs an establishment for young minds to learn and be creative. The school should be working with the parents and students for the betterment of everybody but instead it feels like they’re working against us and if we don’t fit into their little box or bow down and kiss the ground they walk on they’re gonna have an issue with you. Compared to the school my other daughter goes to, you can tell they love their jobs and really truly care about the students and well being of everyone. They’re communicative and kind and understanding. Nobody is perfect but at the very least we should all be kind to and respect one another and try to be understanding of one another. Considering this a school and everybody working here has an education, you’d think they know this. I guess good character isn’t built through good grades.

This school is a Leader in Me Lighthouse school and exceptional! We moved from a previous GCS school and have been at Mauldin 2 years. The teachers and all staff are caring and friendly and the Leader in Me program has helped my kids and allowed us many opportunities to be engaed in the school as parents. We had a concern with our daughter and the principal responded to our phone call in minutes, scheduled a conference and worked with the AP and teacher to get it resolved quickly. If you want a school that loves kids, enroll at Mauldin Elementary!

Teachers and staff have been great. Their curriculum is fantastic. My son who is in Kindergarten, can read and write and he is only 4 years old!! We love BCA!!!!

We have a senior and sophomore in their third year at GCA. We love this school and know they will be ready to excel in college.

I strongly agree that the curriculum at Southside Christian School is appropriately challenging and rigorous. My children are consistently pushed to grow academically while still receiving the support they need to succeed. The coursework encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and accountability, which has helped them build both confidence and independence in their learning.I’ve also appreciated that the rigor is balanced, teachers are intentional about meeting students where they are and helping them progress without feeling overwhelmed. As a result, my kids are not only keeping up with expectations but are genuinely engaged and motivated to do their best. Overall, the academic challenge has been a key part of their growth and preparation for future success.

This school is easily one of the worst places you could send your child. They barely teach the required subjects unless God personally signed off on the lesson, it just doesn’t happen.They even decided I was autistic because of my eyesight, which is wild considering that’s not how anything works. And instead of actually helping, they stuck me in the back of the class like that would magically improve my vision. Stunning logic. Because of their neglect, I failed the grade and had to repeat it, not due to ability, but because I literally couldn’t see the board and they couldn’t be bothered to care.If you want your child to learn anything other than confusion and disappointment, I’d look somewhere else. This school couldn’t teach a fish to swim even if the Bible told them how.

My kids love the school. They are happy every day.
