Independence Elementary School

I have had 2 children go through the Belleview and have nothing but good things to say. Belleview is a community of professionals who actually care about the education of your child and will go above and beyond to make sure they succeed. I’m surprised the rating is so low for Belleview, it’s truly a great school.

This schools special education program is a joke. Dr.Dickson never accepts accountability for what is going on in her school. She cares more about how she looks than she does for her students well being.

The staff is excellent and really care about the students and having the arts involved in their young lives will make an impact and help when the children get older.

All of my children were brought up through Mt. Holly and my youngest will begin next school year. The staff and teachers are all personable and genuinely care for the advancements of our children. They have a wonderful Arts and Drama program, as well. My oldest son was contacted by the states Governors school of Arts when he reached middle school... this wouldn't have been possible without Mt. Holly.

Our kids went to St. Anne for years, but ultimately the problem of teacher turnover is insuperable. No learning can take place when there is no continuity of instruction, and it pained us to see the expectations consistently growing lower. The curriculum was effectively just "the TPT worksheet that this month's teacher decided to print." Without home instruction our kids would've obviously fallen behind even public school expectations. What benefit is there to schooling over home school if I am teaching my children long division anyway?
