St. James Middle School

My 2 sons are current students at this school. They love their teachers and enjoy going to school! The principal is very visible and engaged with all activities. They are challenged and already are reading at age 5! Amazing school!

Very highly recommended but unable to give 100% raving review due to the car line drop off practices. Most of the school is car riders so pick up and drop off is a nightmare.

In my experience, Burgess special education did not provide any awareness toward parents; I don't know what my child is learning and doing at school, and get a paper sent home every once in a while telling us what they are learning. There is no communication between my Childs teacher and us, and when I asked my child 'did you learn today?' 'no' is the answer. They cannot even adequately communicate with my child. There are a lot of things that can be fixed here. There's a whole list of issues with the special needs bus, as well..

The faculty and administration genuinely care for your child/family. Success academically and a thoughtful, respectful child with strong values are the norms of this small, wonderful school.
