My experience with this school has been deeply troubling. In my view, the academic standards are far below what families should expect in relation to what they pay for tuition. This school in noway adequately prepares students for college or even trade school education. The science curriculum was especially disappointing. The textbooks used in multiple classes repeatedly referenced God in place of widely accepted scientific explanations. This left students without a clear understanding of basic scientific principles and created confusion between faith-based instruction and actual science education.I was also alarmed by employees performing duties for which they did not have appropriate qualifications. Employees who were not licensed or properly trained were placed in counseling and teaching roles. This led to situations where students’ well-being was handled in ways that felt unprofessional and potentially harmful.The school environment, as I experienced it, also fostered narrow religious messaging without context or balance. Instead of creating a supportive environment for students of different backgrounds, it felt like certain beliefs and identities were dismissed or marginalized. I personally witnessed attitudes that came across as racially insensitive, homophobic, and hostile towards some students and their families. Bullying is widely accepted and even encouraged. The result is an environment that caused psychological stress rather than personal or academic growth.Overall, my experience with the school has been negative. Students deserve a place that provides qualified professionals, academically sound materials, and a safe, inclusive environment, which cannot be found at Pee Dee Academy.
