Amazing school. Embraces outdoors, costal environment, enrichment, student interest clubs, amazing programs such as green heart and two science labs! This school is very organized and has a really strong admin dedicated to keeping the school safe and keeping the entire environment fun, happy, and positive! The teachers want to be there, the kids walk in smiling, and the principal goes above and beyond for the entire school community. She trusts the staff, there isn’t a place with more caring and happy, experienced and motivated teachers! These are LUCKY kids! I am happy to know SIES provides a safe place for children of all abilities to express their interests, and have opportunities to problem solve, work within nature, and have the opportunity to make huge learning gains in every single classroom! The school radiates with sunshine and light as well as success on the inside and out- the kids walk in smiling, and they leave smiling. They are genuinely excited about their learning! We love this island school!

Teachers and school are Amazing!! They have such a positive attitude with the students there. My child needed a little extra work while gone for a while and the teacher worked with my child & sent some extra work home...fast forward to now!! My child is now ahead!! This is very impressive!!!The whole school has a "You can do it " and "never give up" attitude. The school definitely has top quality teachers and should be rated #1 in the state of SC.

One worst experience of my life. Fork in the road I wish I turned right. Do not go to this daycare. It’s not a school. My biggest regrets sending my kids to the school.

I was a former student at this school, I only went there for fifth grade because I had just moved to Mount Pleasant. I came from another school that really valued education and you own personal needs. When I got to JBE the math work in particular was stuff I had already learned and understood from fourth grade. I was never challenged in the classes that I took and sometimes I was even asked to teach it to other students there. On my MAP testing that year I scored lower than what I got on fourth grade. I also have a younger sister who goes to the school and she isn’t understanding things that she should already know at her age. I know people are different and some people excel in different things but even my parents believe that there isn’t enough not only learning but understanding of knowledge at this school. JBE isn’t all a bad school because they teach people leadership skills and have lots of school spirt but their teaching skills, methods, and curriculum just aren’t good enough for kids that age. I would not recommend if you want your child or children to flourish academically.

We have had 4 children at this school. The school is fantastic. All of our children have made great progress in their education. The school has won the blue ribbon award twice during the time our children attended. It is an excellent faith Based school that has allowed our children to thrive!!

I would highly recommend this school to any family. They truly care about their students and the family. We've had nothing but a wonderful experience at CCPS.

I went to the farm school here, and it was great! My only complaints are the toilets, as they were composting. I am kind of a germophobe so this shouldnt matter. Very good school! Kind people, fun, and overall great!
