Granard Middle School

This school is one of the toughest schools in the district, due to the low socioeconomic status of the people living in the school zone. The teachers are caring, but most move to better schools when they can because of the challenges they face with that group of students.

My grandson was a SpED student here for two years. During those 2 years, his class never took a field trip, participated in Special Olympics, just today he was excluded from field day. At least three times he was put on the bus home after the teacher was told he was to be a car rider. SCARY seeing as he's largely non-verbal. Hoping for a better experience next year at Luther Vaughn

Luther L Vaughan is a good school. My grandson went there in there special classes and he did well. My granddaughter is now there in regular classes and she does fine. The teachers and other staff seems to know all the names of all the students.This is great. I wish all schools were like that.

My son has ADHD and odd he didn't have his medicine so they called my sister in-law to come get my son and cause she was across town and it took her a while to get there they threatened to call social services on me . And said he can't return tell he gets his medicine He got suspended for 2 days Thursday and Friday so we sent him to school today and they called us today and said he was still suspended and we need to come get him. This school is ridiculous at my son's last School we had no problem with this
