Read what parents are saying about Irmo Middle SchoolWe enrolled in this school for the Escolores Academic Magnet Program. My child’s standardized test scores soared, and his discipline to study for classroom tests also improved. This has been a great experience for our child and family!
Posted by a parent on 5/31/2023This school is not to bad , but people are so rude here and they don't do anything about bullying. The teachers are mostly nice but some of the teachers are just so rude for no reason. Also they have such an issue with using the bathroom, like I am a human I need to go. I felt like such a failure after finishing it this school. But then I went to spring hill and I really like it , the teachers are all very nice and I feel like I am taught way better.
Posted by a student on 5/26/2023A lot of fighting, but there is respect and a lott of good in this school. There may be rowdy kids but the teachers care and the good kids are absolute gems. It also gives them opportunities to express themselves like sports, band, design, etc. so it has flaws but it is great
Posted by a student on 8/16/2022This school is a truly terrifying place! Drugs, violence, rampant awful behavior by students happens every single day. Fights happen frequently, students have no respect for each other, their teachers, or the principals. Teachers are trying, but there is such a culture of hostility towards them from the students. This school is utterly out of control! If you’re a parent and care about your child’s education, this is NOT the place for you!
Posted by a parent on 6/8/2021We have had a fabulous experience at IMS. The IMS family is strong, supportive and invested. I’m so grateful we were led there!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school as far as the teachers but the guidance counselor is horrible …. She always seems to not like to be bothered ! My family express the issues with my child was having with others with her and she can’t even hold a simple conversation …. They need to hire someone who enjoys doing their job.Parent Review1y ago - Irmo Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had children at Leaphart for going on 5 years now and I cannot speak highly enough of the teachers and administration. They work so hard to create a loving and positive environment for all of the children. I have one child in the advanced placement class and she is really thriving. My other 2 are in the lower grades and not yet eligible for AGP, but they are also getting a good education and having a very positive classroom experience. I’m very impressed with how well they deal with behavioral issues and make sure all children’s needs are met.Parent Review4mo ago - Nursery Road Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a long age range of children and have now been to 3 or 4 different schools in the area over the years, Nursery Road is by far the best out of the bunch! It is Arts magnet school which keeps my kids engaged and eager to learn by incorporating the arts into all fields. Integrity, sharing and kindness are words that I hear constantly while visiting the school and the children seem to grasp the concept very well. The 5/10 grade on this site does not do the school any justice!Parent Review3y ago - Harbison West Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLOVE IT! Great staff and wonderful enviroment for my kids. My girls have been enrolled for the past 2yrs and our now going into kindergarten this coming year. The only gripe I have is that they have not expanded into upper grades, hate to see my kids leave such a wonderful enviroment. Their philosphy is that kids learn through play and that they do. The teachers are great and very nurturing. Would definitely recommend to send your children there they will be in good hands.Parent Review13y ago - New Heights School
