Philip Simmons Middle School

This is our 3rd year in this school, my son started in Kindergarten. It is a beautiful & “new” school compared to most public elementary schools in the area. It is located in an up and coming neighborhood called Point Hope. From the administration, teachers, staffs, bus drivers and custodians, there is a strong sense of community here, they care, nurture and support all the students. There is constant communication between the administrators, teachers and staffs. There are SROs to keep the school safer. This is my son’s first proper school and it has been a wonderful overall experience. He did encounter some bullies but learned to navigate that and made lots of friends. He is growing each day and looks forward to going to school which is important to us. This school will make learning fun, will foster a sense of community, will prepare your child for middle school and your child will make lots of friends!
