Addlestone Hebrew Academy

We absolutely love Oakland! We have been lucky enough to start from the CD program with our daughter, who is now entering 3rd grade. And our son started in 1st grade, and will now be entering 5th grade. The teachers are fabulous and provide quality education in a safe and fun environment. Our kids continue to excel acedemically and socially. The school now sponsors a tennis team and archery team. The PTO continues to organize wonderful events and support the school as a whole. We have been nothing but pleased!

The school needs smart, strong leadership vision ,responsible every detail of work person, not only who thinks own families and pockets

My child is in his second year at Stono Park. I have really appreciated Stono Park and found it to be an excellent school. It is obvious that the teachers and staff here work tirelessly to benefit the students and create a good environment. I am very, very impressed by how much they go above and beyond to do special things like the evening events with families (back to school wellness fair, Candyland themed math game night, around-the-world themed literacy night, student performances, board game night, bingo night, etc.). My child likes his teachers and class mates. On the first day of Kindergarten, he was so nervous (of course!), but on the first day of the next school year he bounced out of bed and exclaimed that he was excited for school! I have seen how being at Stono Park has helped him be excited for school.

This school was excellent from kindergarten to 5th grade graduation. The teachers were so easily contacted and approachable. Every teacher kept in weekly personal communication with me to improve my son's education. I was distraught to see Mrs Middleton leave and thought the school may go downhill, but Mrs Conner proved me wrong. I couldn't possibly recommend this school more than I do. The drama teacher is so fantastic that my son got into SOA. Your child will be lucky to go to ARCAE.

This school may have good testing scores, and some of the staff likely are not the same as the others, which is what seems to be organically bitter and nasty. Most of my interactions from day one have been awkward and cold. I thought that I was singled out, until I had seen at least one other Mom treated, what seemed to be cold and rude by office staff. If we return here, it will be under the grounds of pure praying and hope that things will be different next year, and to not switch schools. Honestly though, I have had to talk my child into going to school this year more than I ever have because she doesn’t feel challenged or welcomed there for the most part.

Great school. Excellent teachers and the principal Mrs. Nancy is awesome! She is professional, caring and takes pride in her work. Definitely a wonderful learning environment for kids and teachers.
