Read what parents are saying about Chukker Creek Elementary SchoolPreviously left a bad review due to administration. We loved the teachers at this school. Pervious administration seemed to have ego issues and would return bullies to class before the injured students were capable to return. We witnessed this on multiple occasions. They would even try to act authoritative to parents in a town where nearby industries are supporting of our nation. I point this out not to complain but to inform other parents that this is no longer the case!New administration has really revived this school. They connect with teachers and students. The bullying issue has seemed go disappear at least from our perspective. We have attended multiple charter schools throughout this period. Chukker creek is one of the best schools in the area again in multiple opinion.
Posted by a parent on 8/26/2022we have been in this school since 5K for both of our children. Parents who speak any concern get bullied by the second in command, while the Princepal is taking care other business. We love most of the teachers, there are a few that can be loud when it comes to dealing with some of the kids. There is no homework and I feel that without it my child is not retaining all of what they were taught for the day. The car line is horrible in the morning and they are now handing out tardy tickets at 728 saying the district says they have to if the child is not at their desk by 730. So if you choose this school make sure you are in line by 703. I used to love it when my child was in 5k but I have seen the darkside of this school and am searching for a charter school next year.
Posted by a parent on 10/28/2017We started our 1st child in Kindergarten there and loved, loved his teacher and class. We had to relocate for a job and went some where else for 1st, and 2nd, and most of 3rd grade. We came back at the end of 3rd grade and my other child was in Kindergarten. My child in kindergarten came home telling me about all the naughty kids in his class, how rude and disrespectful they were to the teacher, and it was loud. My 3rd grader was so far advanced from his previous school they would not put him into any advanced classes so he sat and read and was bored the rest of the school year. He was also picked on by his peers. He informed his teacher was ignored and then I had to conference with his teacher and it didn't get any better until the last week of school when she yell at my child for him doing what she asked for him to do, then everything was solved really fast. Also while in my sons IEP meeting for speech I was informed he would not be able to test into the Gifted and Talented program until I dropped him from needing speech services. I know this for a fact is wrong because I have a friend whose child is in the GT program with a speech IEP. The teachers have to do all the disciplining in class and when as my kindergartner put its a lot of naught children in class you lose out of lots of valuable academic teachable time. It would have been better if the children who would not behave in class after so many corrections would have to go the front office with the principal to help the rest of the class. I do feel the principal is a very hands off lady and her assist principle is more hands on. I do feel like there are lots of good teachers there but there is a disconnect with the principal to the students and teachers. I do have friends that live in the area and are from the area and love the school and I also know many who move there from other school and are disappointed when you see on greatschools the rating of the school. So a run down is the 1st go around with the school loved it, came back after a move and my kids were begging to move they hated the school.
Posted by a parent on 9/7/2017My boys have had excellent teachers and positive experiences.
Posted by a parent on 5/17/2017If your child is shy or quiet, DO NOT send them here. My daughter is in 2nd grade and from the first meeting in Kindergarten, retention has been brought up non stop. Shy and/or quiet is brought up every single time. The teachers have 0 communication with the parents. You get 4x as many flyers about fundraising then you do about your child's school progress. We have heard the same thing from many parents. A great school, in my opinion, is not how it does with the 80%, but how it deals with the 20% that learn differently. Her teacher told us, "I want to help more, but I'm just too busy." This school has so far been a horrible experience for us.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was absolutely the worst experience of a school I could’ve possibly had. The bullying was absolutely awful, I hated my life, and even though it’s a “Christian” school, I didn’t really see any good models of “Christianity”Other Review6mo ago
