Read what parents are saying about North Providence High SchoolSadly a school I would never send another child to attend. The administration is riddled with a lack of caring starting at the head. For any parent looking at this school, I would opt for area private schooling or home schooling to give your child a well prepared, nurturing and empowering environment vs this school.

i didnt really like this school im a freshmen this year n i left in the 3rd quarter. every1 tells people that it is a great school and everything but sadly its not. every student in there has a ton of drama no matter what. teachers are very easy to fool, u can get away with almost anything. every1 uses their phones and they never get caught. the lunches are good sometimes but they are always packed. n since the lunches are packed a lot of students just take a lunch n not pay for it. some teachers are good with teaching but others shouldnt even be teachers. alot o teachers will just sit with the kids n just talk 2 them the whole class. a ton of people just walk out of the school so they wont hav 2 go 2 class and no1 would ever no.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDisheartened experience. Our child attended the schools preschool program and had the absolute worst experience from day 1. The staff and educators have decades of experience but have failed to receive any meaningful training to truly address students social/emotional learning which is desperately needed since covid. The school reads a couple of stories and has one lesson but nothing beyond. The school is quick to identify issues (with handwritten notes to parents asking them to do something or for their “suggestions”) but does not have the training, resources or qualifications to help connect or create a plan of action for the student, teacher and family. The school outsources consultants for this but is slow to pay or utilize them. Our child had developed severe anxiety bc of this school as our child was ignored many times during the school day as the educators lacked the ability to provide support and understand how to help. Our child spent many evenings crying and struggling to sleep at night. Further, it was really gut wrenching to hear that the educators did not know our child and did not connect with our child during the time enrolled stating that our child only shared one story from home. Since leaving, our child has flourished at another program where the entire staff knew our child, our child’s many stories and who our child really is. It took a while to rebuild the confidence this school took. Unfortunately at a catholic school, you can only go as far as the principal and in our case the principal was unwilling to address or talk through any of our concerns and made us feel like we were wasting her time. I do not recommend this early education program. If you look at the public schools missions and strategic goals - social and emotional needs are a high priority as this is what they are seeing with kids today. If the educators spent time looking at how many notes they send home they might be able to see a trend and adjust their curriculum to the times of today. There is too much focus on just academics and not the the student as a whole.Parent Review1y ago - St Pius V School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is simply excellent. I strongly recommend it as the faculty are dedicated, the overall environment is very positive, and the community is strong. My child has made many friends and really enjoys St. Pius V. The school hosts a strong array of activities and really tries hard to get parents involved. Its a diverse environment too. Tuition is affordable. I can't say enough good things about the academic support. The most recent 8th grade class sent students to many competitive high schools (Classical, LaSalle, etc.) Oh, there are volunteers from Providence College at the school too. There is a high degree of energy at this school... its a good spot for your child.Parent Review4y ago - St Thomas Regional School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be quite frank I hate writing reviews but this school is so bad I felt it was almost a civic duty to write this. The school fails on multiple levels from quality of education to structure and design its basically a slave factory... they also don't even professionalism to pull parents aside and talk about issues they will lay into you in the courtyard... the real nail in the coffin for me was the fact that I was paying for my kid to receive bad education like I'm paying for my child to be behind why would I do that very depressing that this was the outcome.Parent Review6mo ago
