As an alumni I was not properly prepared for college and when speaking to my college peers, realized how behind our education at Kiski was. (At Kiski I was a top student for reference.) Fast forward to today, Kiski has eliminated the gifted program as well as programs for those who need extra learning help. Kids who are advanced, especially, receive no accommodation outside of additional work that is too easy for them, which feels like a punishment. Their music and sports programs are strong but academically they are not meeting the needs of students outside the average. Their biggest concern is teaching to test scores. They also have recently “gone woke” with policy and many area parents are pulling kids. While not an educational concern, it is a cultural concern for many, so I mentioned it. It’s definitely not what it used to be and given the choice I would pick another area school.

Everything about it is awful. I'm highly involved in sports and clubs and they all suck except for track. All my honors and AP classes are terrible. The staff is a disgrace. There is nothing good about Kiski. I wish I had went to a different high school.

i went to this school from kindergarten through 9th grade and honestly the education sucks. parents keep saying that "Kiski has excellent and challenging curriculum"..... stop kidding yourselves. I moved to one of the highest ranked 5% public schools in the nation. when I moved to my new school, the classes that I took my 9th grade year, my new classmates learned in their 7th and 8th grade year and I was taking average classes. im not saying that the students in kiski are not ready and aren't that smart, I still have friends that are really smart and got into great schools. im just saying overall, kiski will not prepare your kids for college. they are more worried about your test scores so that they can get their grants. and going with the comment about all of the AP classes kiski offers, there isn't that much offered, my school currently offers 12 AP classes, and about 4 college level classes. Sorry to disappoint those parents who think kiski is the greatest of schools, look at reality and compare kiski to other surrounding schools

My child is graduating this year and I do not feel that my son had the help that he needed with his disability. Kiski directs attentention to the students that are in sports or are in the top 10%. At the tech school one particular teacher swore at the students and wouldn't give much help. I am very disappointed as a parent..and would look to send my children elsewhere. I give Kiski Area a one out of 5.

Kiski is clean, well organized, and has excellent teachers. Punishments for misbehavior are fair and reasonable, and the entire school is a good learning enviornment. Along with academic aspects, the school has second to none fine arts programs and a state caliber wrestling team. Support for the team is amazing, and the students always back eachother, led by Wrestling and MMA hall of fame coach who has the record for the second most wins in the W.P.I.A.L.
