Also, the classes have a ratio of 30 to 1 so the classes are chaotic. My kids barely brought any homework home also a bad sign. They also
Posted by a parent on 5/23/2018Classroom sizes are too big. The office is unprofessional and uncaring. Many subjects are not being taught as they are not part of PSSAs, which is where the money is. Nothing is done with bullying and any other issues you may have. I am leaving the district as soon as possible,

Now if you have any issues with your child being bullied and you go into the school to report it they are very slow to respond and take care of the situation. Be careful because if a teacher doesn't follow

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCompared to the other schools in the New Ken Arnold district this is a way better choice if you can afford to send your child to a private school. We, as a family, give up a lot to send our daughter here because we feel it is worth it. Our first day at Martin School, the public school of New Kensington, for pre school and before we got to the front door a mother was swearing up and down at her three little kids and the youngest wasn't even old enough to go to school. Her words were worse than what you would hear in a prison and I am sure that is where many of the kids will end up with mothers like that. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat experience with this school! My son's reading skills have increased dramatically! As well as math, art, & social studies. It's 2020 and I'm not sure why the previous comment says they lack classes -- My son has an art teacher, music teacher, library time, and science. My son is learning about kindness, manners, morals, forgiveness... Things that we teach him at home but this is the place he spends a large portion of his time --it's great knowing they are instilling the same values. We planned on sending him to Highlands until I found out there are up to 35 students per class. At Blessed Sacrament School there were 14 students in his kindergarten class!
