What would you expect from a school in a dead beat town like Freeport? Most of the teachers in this school will not remember you after you leave at the end of eighth grade. Thankfully, the school district is making plans to build a new junior high. Be ready for angry tax payers!
Posted by a community member on 10/16/2013The Freeport Area School District plans to build a new Jr. High/Middle School in the future. Although it is clean, I consider the school to be unhealthy due to its age. As in the elementary schools, bullying is a problem. To the previous poster, the school is not diverse because Butler county is 96.

The ceilings have collapsed multiple times and there has been cases of dead rats in the heating ducts. Also the school isnt diverse at all. There is racial tention and bullying. Staff wait till the last minute

I am on the school board for the public school and we moved our kids out of the public school into HBA. The curriculum far exceeds the public schools. Our student's vocabulary alone has grown leaps and bounds. The teachers care about our kids and truly know them. I highly recommend this school if you are looking for a solid Christian education for your kids.
