Read what parents are saying about Muhlenberg Middle SchoolMy daughter and family had so much stress going to this school constant bullying the lack of action of the school to stop it and when it gets out of control they call the police and the children face legal action but there is never mediation between the school and the parents to stop the bullying and the fights I believe that that something as simple as a mandatory meeting at the to talk to the kids and parents on meet the parents teachers day counseling un educated parents and children about aggression and bullying would turn this school around
Posted by a parent on 9/27/2023There's a bomb threat at least once a month. Today, December 2021, there has been a total of 2 bomb threats just this month. What exactly is this school doing to deter kids from making these threats???!?
Posted by a parent on 12/21/2021For a parent who looks from outside of the school and doesn't investigate anything about the school, it would seem that it's decent at most. But as a student who has attended this school from K-8 I think this school is a joke. Unprofessional teachers and staff lurk around every corner. Most of the time I feel that the school is sometimes a free for all, with the principle and vice principle destroying many redeemable factors that this school once held. Unorganization and disrespect from students is definitely normal here. Bullying is a problem which is never handled properly and the schools staff that's in charge of events such as field day and the special Olympics can never seem to get the schedule right. Teachers are usually left in the dark as much as students are when it comes to things like schedule changes and events. The schools budget is never correctly used, with things being damaged and never being fixed for months on end. The educational system is absolutely atrocious with students hardly learning anything through the course of the day. They also removed recess from the schedule which has been absent in the schedule since grade 5. If your coming from a better school or area I strongly recommend not putting your child in this school or Reading, as both are pretty similar. If your looking to move i suggest putting your child in a different school.
Posted by a student on 8/1/2017My child had to deal with bullying which wasn't handled appropriately. His special education plan wasn't being followed and I had to deal with many arrogant and ignorant teachers along the way. Disrespect towards teachers and others seems to be the "norm" here.
Posted by a parent on 6/23/2015The school has a very good music program. I can see where my hard earned tax dollars go, education and great facilities for the kids. My daughter loves the school and most of her teachers... Go Muhls!!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo far having seen much help from the school itself for my son who does have behavioral problems. Just basically sending him somewhere else for someone to deal with it. My daughter is also not challenged enough. Seems as if a lot of the teachers are too lazy to teach. My kids hardly come home with h.w and when they do usually from only subject. I've seen better help from other schools they have attended.Parent Review10y ago - Glenside El School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son just started here, i would give it 3 stars so far. I'm happy because the school is more organized with the homework and he gets homework on friday, which i don't mind and the work is harder. i must say i will see how it goes and if it doesn't work out i will be thinking of charter school.Parent Review11y ago - Twelfth & Marion El School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had been on the fence regarding switching from public school to SJS and I wish we had made the change sooner. All of my children (K, 2, and 6) have had the most rewarding school year! Not only were they valued for who they were as individuals, they were part of the learning process. The schools approach to hands on education really sold us and we could not be happier with our experience here. Anyone who has been looking should definitely check them out!Parent Review4y ago - St Margaret School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was not that great of a school. I was a student here 2016-2023. I am so glad my time here had ended. I was bullied here and the teachers did quite nothing but only give the bullied a in school suspension. Mind you the suspensions were a week long and had no restrictions what so ever. I was once hit by a teacher, my mom had brung it up with the authorities and nothing happened. I hated this school.Other Review1mo ago
