Read what parents are saying about Colonial El SchoolI was nervous about sending my son to such a large school initially but my worries have been proven to be unfounded. There are so many activities and opportunities for kids to get involved, such a committed staff, and really wonderful learning opportunities. Our family is proud to be a CES family!
Posted by a parent on 5/15/2020I do not recommend this school as it is now. Teachers routinely call out and the few substitutes the school is lucky to receive are bullied or abused, which creates a chaotic learning environment. I would send my child elsewhere.
Posted by a community member on 11/9/2018I am not sure why the previous reviewer gave the school 1 star. The principal is omnipresent and is totally accessible. WES is a great school. I think this person had a very unusual experience.
Posted by a parent on 10/2/2016I encourage the parent of the previous review to please contact Colonial Elementary School. At CES we strive to meet the needs of children in a positive and nurturing environment. Please contact the principals, our dedicated counselors or your child's teachers. Thank you.
Posted by a teacher on 9/21/2013The principal is near impossible to get a hold of on the phone,or face to face meeting. The staff is inflexible. We have a special needs son and wanted to be a part of his summer school tour experience to be sure he was able to communicate with staff if there was a problem. This was unacceptable to the principal. We weren't asking to come into the classroom and I even have child clearances of my own to offer. It has been three months since we registered for the school and no mtg. has been set up yet for an IEP.He has one from his last school and some new diagnoses. If you don't know the right people or your child doesn't fit the mold, you have a battle on your hands. We have medical staff with recommendations and I was told that he will be put in a class and then observed, that none of what he needs will be in place until they decide. We tried this school district's approach once before and they hadn't been in to 'observe' him as of thanksgiving of that school year, at which point I pulled my kids out and cyber schooled. This time, we aren't waiting until school starts for them to tell me they just don't have time to get in there because of staffing and have my child suffer for it.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSPN is a good school with strong education. At SPN, there are two classes in each grade, except for PreK, which has only one. SPN hosts many activities at the auditorium and gym. However, if uniform is a deciding factor when you pick a school, don't come to SPN. The summer uniform is comfortable, but it ends early November and doesn't start until late April. The winter uniform is the problem. You wear shoes which have no support and are very hard and hurt to walk on, navy pants, a blue button down shirt, a vest that is very scratchy and uncomfortable, and a tie. If it is very hot during Winter Uniform season, you still have to wear the winter uniform. Also, the school barely responds to bullying.Student Review7y ago - Epiphany Of Our Lord School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of two PMFS graduates. We chose PMFS for Kg-5th grade for our children and found the program helped them build a strong foundation - academically and social/emotionally. Our children left PMFS knowing themselves, having interest in their greater community and were self advocates in the classroom. As a family, we loved being part of the PMFS community and having opportunities to be on the campus for events together. For the my children, the small classroom sizes, coupled with PMFS being just an elementary school (PreK-6)- allowed my kids to be known throughout the campus - by students in other grades and all faculty and staff. They could never get "lost" in their elementary journey at PMFS. I would highly recommend families look at this school!Parent Review2mo ago - Oak Lane Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attends Conshohocken Catholic School , he s in the Kindergarten class, and he absolutely loves the school. The Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Leonard is absolutely the best teacher ever! She really cares about the kids , she can handle the entire class, and is very hands on with the kids to accommodate each and every child s needs. The entire school staff is very friendly as well. I removed my child from another private school in the area, and that was the absolute best thing I ve done for my son s education. It s a much better learning environment and my child is excelling well with all of his learning activities. Also, the tuition is beyond reasonable. Best change I ever made!Parent Review9y ago - Holy Rosary Regional Catholic School
